Camille has potential in a Support role as she is in offensive roles but as League goes the only way to maximize her potential is to have the right mindset and a team that thrives on teamwork to secure the victory.
This build also uses the underappreciated

Pros
+ Good (dis)engage tools + Limits enemy movement + Multiple CC abilities + Great synergy with new Runes + Adaptive shield Camille is your surprise option for a tank support. Much like ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Cons
- Low attack damage - No heals/shields - Dependence on Hookshot - Bad waveclear - Very item dependent Unfortunately, this build gives up most of Camille's damage output in exchange for her tankiness. Her ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Camille's resolve to serve justice is backed up by her famous precision to take down the enemy.
Yes. In this build Camille's primary path goes to
Resolve, making her a tanky support that sets up takedowns by striking unwary enemies and imprisoning them for her team to feed on.
Primary Path:
Aftershock
After immobilizing an enemy champion, gain defenses and later deal a burst of adaptive damage around you.
This works well with Camille's
Hookshot +
Hextech Ultimatum engage combo. Landing her Hookshot would give Camille additional defense and an Ultimatum follow-up to make sure the damage hits the target.
Font of Life
Impairing the movement of an enemy champion marks them. Your allies heal when attacking champions you've marked.
Landing Camille's
Tactical Sweep or
Hookshot will give your team additional sustain when they hit them too, making sure your team has the advantage in those fights, especially in the laning phase.
Conditioning
After 10 min, gain +8 Armor and +8 Magic Resist and increase your Armor and Magic Resist by 5%.
Camille needs some extra defenses to make her survivability even better. Strengthening both goes along with Camille's innate adaptive defenses.
Overgrowth
Gain additional permanent max health when minions or monsters die near you.
This would be your option since being with your AD carry will result in lots of deaths around you. Additional max health also boosts your innate tankiness and with your AD carry rolling with gold you'll also end up being tougher.
Secondary Path:
Choosing your secondary path grants +130 Health
Triumph
Takedowns restore 15% of your missing health and grant an additional 25 gold.
When you get a takedown, you are rewarded with a decent heal and some gold. Not bad after a hard day's work. Good synergy with your lane partner is well rewarded through this rune.
Legend: Tenacity
Takedowns on enemies grant permanent Tenacity.
Choosing a Legend minor rune depends on the way you play, really, but having higher tenacity means better odds in engaging and surviving in teamfights.

As much as possible you should carry
Ignite for lane pressure. Use
Exhaust or
Heal sparingly if you want a more passive game, or if your ADC partner thinks they would be better off with it. Otherwise, stick to Ignite. Her gameplay is more or less the same as with Season 7, but augmented further with the new Runes.
Prioritize her
Hookshot and
Wall Dive as this is your to-go skill if you want to engage/escape a sticky situation. Hitting the enemy will also reward you with a
stun and a chance for your ADC to sneak up a free hit. As Tank/Support Camille, this should be the skill you pick at Level 1.
Aftershock is almost guaranteed to hit after a proper
Wall Dive.
Second in the ability priority list is Camille's
Tactical Sweep. This will make your enemies steer clear away from your sweep range and if they don't, then you get a free heal and slow. This ability is also perfect for slowing down fleeing enemies and regaining some precious HP after a skirmish.
Tactical Sweep and
Wall Dive also triggers
Font of Life, adding sustain for your team.
Next to max is her ult,
Hextech Ultimatum. Make sure to get it whenever it's available. Move close to your enemy with an E then dive right in with your ult. Use a sweep for added slow and heal, and let your team chow down that sorry champion. This also guarantees the enemy is within
Aftershock's range after you dive in, and also keep them within range of your team when you land a
Tactical Sweep while inside your ult.
Lastly,
Precision Protocol is the least important here, as it provides no crowd control effect that can save your support. Just get one point early on so you can always avail of the free attack reset and/or a little more speed and damage if needed.

Staring Items:
Relic Shield
Refillable Potion
Stealth Ward
Relic Shield will grant Gold, some HP and some heal. Refillable Potion is more favorable since Camille is expected to be needing some healing after skirmishes. Lastly, the trinket depends on your game style, but if you want a full tank Camille (ditching the Relic Shield line later) then a Warding Totem will help with your vision needs.
Be sure to buy a
Control Ward when necessary. Also
Boots as soon as possible.
Basic Item Combo-wombos:
Boots of Swiftness
Why? Because Camille should always deliver SWIFT justice.
Knight's Vow
Extra armor, HP, and a good relationship with your "partner." The Vow's give-and-take relationship makes it a good item to use when you and an ally champion decides to go in for the kill (use your E+R first, of course).
Make sure you remember your vow: to keep the enemies away from your allies (cage them with R, stun them with E, slow them with W). Teamwork is key.
Guardian Angel
This adds more confidence in engaging enemies. The armor and magic resist are classics, and justice are best served with a Guardian Angel. (Also to add another layer of threat during teamfights)
Thornmail and
Sunfire Aegis
We are drastically reducing Camille's damage output by turning her into a tanky champ here. So we have to give her some damage during fights by still sticking to her enemies as much as possible. Thornmail and Sunfire Cape will make sure to prick/burn your enemies along with a good sustain. Also, using these items is a good way to clear minion waves when going to defend alone.
Banner of Command or
Zz'Rot Portal
When your team is in dire need of a pushing item, a Portal or a Banner won't hurt. Just aim on a (preferrably a Siege) minion and use
Banner of Command to promote the guy, or go to a lane that is less visited by the enemy and leave a
Zz'Rot Portal. All the kills that promoted minion/voidspawns will get will grant you gold. Promoted minions are also immune to magics (sorry Ezreal) and can also tank a bit vs. towers.

EARLY GAME / STANDARD EXCHANGE:
1. Dash in to a wall near your enemy with your
Hookshot and
Wall Dive to your target champion.
2. Use
Tactical Sweep on a fleeing enemy, otherwise use
Precision Protocol first before using Tactical Sweep.
3. Exchange blows until
Hookshot cools down.
4. Either: Reset back to Step 1, or use
Hookshot and
Wall Dive to safety.
WITH ULTIMATE PART ONE: ALL-IN
1. Dash in to a wall near your enemy with your
Hookshot and
Wall Dive to your target champion.
2. Immediately use
Hextech Ultimatum to prevent your target from running away, dashing away, flashing away, etc.
3. Use
Tactical Sweep on a fleeing enemy, otherwise use
Precision Protocol first before using Tactical Sweep.
4. Exchange blows until
Hookshot cools down.
5. Either: Reset back to Step 1, or use
Hookshot and
Wall Dive to safety.
WITH ULTIMATE PART TWO: SAFETY PROTOCOL
4. Only use
Hextech Ultimatum if you feel a big crowd control is coming or if you want to scatter the enemy team. Remember that Camille becomes untargettable during her leap and when she lands she sends enemies other than the target flying away.
5. Either: Reset back to Step 1, or use
Hookshot and
Wall Dive to safety.
OTHER STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Trapping an enemy with
Hextech Ultimatum lets you stick around your target for some
Sunfire Aegis damage.
- Remember,
Adaptive Defenses only triggers during your next basic attack against enemy champions (when it is not in cooldown). Knowing when to attack your enemy could add another layer of shielding for you to take advantage of.
-If you do have
Knight's Vow off cooldown in a teamfight you can look for another allied champion which you think could pull off some serious damage on that particular situation, not necessarily you team's ADC (but especially your ADC). Note that you cannot change partners when it goes on cooldown, so choose wisely!
