You must know that if you are playing a Gnar in AP you choose a mini Gnar. This is important because only this form deals AP damage. Mega Gnar is good for Team Fights because his R can stun and knock back opponents
Itemization & Runes
Gnar can be built in AD or in AP. But I will show you the AP versions.
- Rabadon is a good option because our W can do a lot, so buy Rabadon
- WHY Nashor? It gives us additional AP and increases the attack speed, so we have faster W.

- Someone will say why electrocute but I will say since we play Gnar for AP and we often use our W which also requires three stacks so why not?

Lane phase
When playing in lane, focus on killing minions and hitting your opponent with Q. When you reach level 3, try to jump with E at the right moment, attack Q and get 3 stacks on W.
Teamfights
In teamfights, as a mini gnar, you should stand a bit further and attack with Q, but as a Mega Gnar you can jump using E (your allies should too) and smash your opponents with R on the wall, which will be imposed by Stun.
