Aatrox's sweet spots will slaughter your walkers and your maiden will take serious amounts of damage right along with it. Use your walkers to block his W and get Chempunk as fast as possible to mitigate his E's passive omnivamp
Akali
Akali can be easily defeated when and if she get marked by your E. But she's mobile so you have to be careful not to just waste your stuff
Akshan
You can use your W to knock him out of his E and then rend him from there. This assassin will meet his match and get the comeuppance he deserves
Aphelios
This one isn't much of a challenge. Mark him then stop his movement and Q him and he's dead
Azir
Saw this champ take on a Sett top lane. It's very stupid easy to beat an Azir top lane. Keep him marked and his ult boundary is useless cause the walkers will go right through it. if you time it right, you'll kill him before he even tries to ult so keep that in mind
Camille
Too mobile. Her E latches onto you and won't let you off of her. It's stun duration isn't endless but it's certainly enough to annoy you to no end. From what I've seen her E can't get past your W: Dark Procession so utilize that as best as you can
Cassiopeia
I've seen Cassiopeia in the Top lane only once and I'm glad honestly because she's stupid annoying. Just mark her and she's dead but be careful because she's toxic and stunningly rude with her ult. This Medusa will kill you if not careful
Cho'Gath
Cho'Gath can bite through your maiden with his ult but once it gets tough enough, it can outlast more than a few hits. Don't waste your ult (maiden) and you'll be fine and also baby cage him with your W and you can spam abilities on him since he has no mobility
Darius
Darius' passive can be fatal to your early gameplay. But he's not mobile. He has counter-mobility but that doesn't count as much. Just keep him walled in and annoyed and mark him constantly. You'll be fine if you can do that
Dr. Mundo
Mundo's ult has absolutely no cooldown and can be a real pain to deal with. Just keep him marked and swarmed at all times and bring ignite and Thornmail so you counter his sustain
Ezreal
Unlike my other main, this dude has zero chance against a Yorick that gets fed. A fed Ezreal fighting Yorick is different stories altogether, but all things considered, Ezreal should have no way to defeat you because your walkers are things he cannot eliminate all of with one ability.
Fiora
Fiora is a pain in my blowhole for multiple reasons but not so much that she must be permabanned. She parries everything and acts like it's a fleck of dust. I have never fought Fiora as Yorick before but my suggestion to you is to bait out her parry and then give her hell. with your walkers. attack while her parry is still up and she will block all the damage
Gangplank
Haven't fought gangplank yet as Yorick but his kit leaves a lot to be desired when fighting the Shepherd of Lost Souls. His Q can range on you and his W and E can be annoying but his global ult is really only useful when you are low and that doesn't happen often when he fights tanks. Prevent him from ulting anyone else to get assists or kills and you should be fine
Garen
Ah Garen, the most cringe of laners. His ult is a free execute and his other abilities are just annoying. That and his passive gives him so much sustain that it gets old after a while. You have no way to stop his sustain unless you bring ignite because the grievous wounds won't last long enough before his passive reactivates. I simply haven't solved the Garen conundrum yet
Gnar
Gnar isn't played often but when he is, take all manner of precautions. He's mobile, ranged and can transform into a super strong bruiser of a tank. You won't need grievous but you will need some form of extra damage. Take my usual build on Yorick (the TriForce one) and stack on as much damage as possible
Gragas
Gragas can be a little rude with his CC and outright tankiness. I don't find him top lane practically ever but I've still seen it before. You'll need someway to mitigate his empowered autos and health. He has no sustain but he's veeeeeery prone to CC (stunning and the like). Keep on baby caging him and you should be fine.
Graves
Graves is lethal. He just does way too much damage and his usual kit makes it next to impossible to get him to half health before he kills you instead. My advice to you is to bring grievous because of his ridiculous lifsteal and lots und lots of tankiness to mitigate his damage
Gwen
Gwen is squishy and not very good in my opinion. If you can get into her mist and beat her senseless she won't win ever. But also make sure you take some MR so you don't get beat senseless instead
Heimerdinger
Heimerdinger's turrets can be a nuisance but coupled with your walkers which the turrets don't target it's side monster vs. side monster and honestly I don't know who'll win since I haven't done this matchup yet. Caution is key.
Illaoi
Illaoi is much more dangerous to Yorick than she is to my morde gameplay. To beat Illaoi, you usually have to be fast enough to evade her tentacles which anyone can be with boots. But avoid grouping up on her 1v5 because it doesn't matter how weak she is throughout the game, too much grouping will just feed her. Try to get kills early on and then single her out to slaughter her
Irelia
Something is wrong with you if you did not ban Irelia. Her Q one-shots your walkers and slaughters you making her Yorick's biggest counter. Do NOT play Yorick into Irelia no matter what lane she's in. Instead, try to swap lanes or if not possible, do NOT play Yorick. Play someone like Mordekaiser or something
Jax
Don't use your auto much less your empowered auto against his counter strike. Do use your E though because that won't get blocked. Though I'm not sure if his E blocks your walkers, it should not deal enough damage to you on the strike portion of the spell
Jayce
Jayce is not commonly played and honestly that's a good thing. His Armor Penetration shreds through Yorick. It's annoying and lethal but he can be beaten. W then E and make sure you have either a lotta graves or mist walkers to rend him
Karma
Karma Shwarma. She's squishy and can literally be devoured by walkers. Just baby cage her and let the walkers and maiden flow freely to her own grave
Kayle
Aside from her immortality via her ult, she's squishy and gets annoyed by Yorick very easily. Keep on top of her and she will end up 6 feet under the stars very easily
Kennen
Just like most matchups, he'll just repeatedly stun you and annoy you to death. Unless you cage him when he rushes around there is no way to stop him. Simply put, avoid matchup if at all possible
Kha'Zix
Yorick takes no skill to play and even less to beat Kha'Zix. This guy is useless against a Yorick as your walkers just obliterate him and even if you can't wall him in, he cannot survive against a Yorick. Take no braincells when fighting this guy
Kled
Kled is annoying by nature. He doesn't need ignite with his Skaarl Q and annoys the bleep out of everybody. If you can't stop his Skaarl then you can't win. However, once dismounted, he cannot escape your W: Dark Procession so use that to your advantage.
K'Sante
K'Sante is downright rude with his Shyvana based ult, extreme strength and impossibly high defenses. Use the walkers and attack from range, Let your little guys do the front row talking
Lillia
Lillia, burning Dream Dust can be a pain in the rear end so just avoid getting hit by her abilities as much as possible. From there, obliterate her with your mist walkers and maiden which I guarantee you she can't escape from
Malphite
There is a major flaw in Malphite's gameplay that anyone can exploit. He's practically defenseless without his passive shield, just tear it apart and you automatically win but be careful because he can either escape with his ult or engage at the worst time for you with said ult
Mordekaiser
Morde's ult is lethal to Yorick because of it's nature. It literally renders your support useless because it leaves them outside the death realm. Simply avoid being too close, mark him from range and allow your subordinates to do all the damage. If you need health back, Q a minion
Nasus
Nasus is annoying because he a giant doggy who is ignorant to most damage when ulting. Yuumi'd hate this. Aside from that, he's a pain in the rear end but not flawless. He's vulnerable when his ult is done so do as much damage as you can in that 60 second time frame then when he uses it, just run away
Neeko
Neeko can annihilate you from range and wreck any chances you have of winning. You have got to avoid her root at all costs because if it hits, you become a stationary target for her Q
Ornn
Ornn's Tankiness can throw a monkey wrench into the plans of even the best. However, it doesn't do him any good when he sucks into Yorick. Just mark him and annoy him, and he has a dash which for some reason stops him after a short distance so wall him and then lay it all on him
Pantheon
Pantheon's shield makes him annoying to deal with. But if you can get behind him his shield is worthless. As slim of a chance as that is, one must always have a backup plan. That's to bait the shield and then go with the ol plan T. Take em by storm
Poppy
Poppy is stupid easy to fight, she has a mobility shield that never works on Yorick and even if it did on someone else, it's wasted on Yorick by then. Just mark and heal with Q and wreck shop right afterwards.
Renekton
He's a combo machine and can get half his health bar back with Q and Goredrinker. Simply stay outta the way of one and he'll miss the other because they have the relative same range. Then hit him with your walkers and maiden and he loses maybe
Rengar
Rengar is squishy and weak into offensive builds like mine. There's only one thing to do, rend them. Simply let him get on top of you and maybe tank a Q or two but you can mark him so mist walkers eat him alive and absolutely shred him
Riven
Riven's mobility makes your baby cage useless and it absolutely kills my strategy against most peeps in the top lane. not to mention her CC and all the works makes it hella annoying to fight her with. Simply do one action. Dodge. There is no way to beat this chick 1v1 as a Yorick with no mobility much less counter mobility like morde's E
Ryze
One of the squishiest mages in the game, Ryze is one of the most of the complicated as well as one of the strongest. So long as he has mana, he's a powerhouse so be wary at the beginning of brawls with him. His ult is fairly useless by himself, seeing as it's a channeled teleport. So baby cage him right on the precipice and it;ll knock him up for a straight millisecond. Just enough time to cancel it. That'll destroy him immediately afterwards because he has no escape from there.
Sejuani
Sejuani's inability to be slowed by your mark makes it difficult to catch her and her tankiness is downright scary. I would not say dodge because it's not impossible to win. just cage her with impeccaable timing and you should win fairly easily, just quick tip, avoid her abilities as best as possible. They absolutely will annoy you until you freeze
Sett
There's just no winning into Sett. He has two auto attacks every "Auto" and regenerates faster the lower his health goes which practically makes him gain health against uyour mini armies instead of losing it. Try to avoid matchup but if you have no choice, just avoid fighting until you either get ganked or mid game when everyone is ARAMing mid lane
Shen
Shen is much more difficult to beat with Yorick than he is with my morde gameplay. Here's the thing, I'm not often one to shy away from a challenge but I've finally gotten the chance to play this dumb champ and lemme tell ya, he's relentless. The range on his taunt is scary and unlike morde, Yorick's passive has nothing to do with autos so taunting screws you over. It does have a flaw, unless he decides to play rude and block it, you can Q as quickly as possible before he taunts and still heal yourself when you strike. Just make it quick, Shen deadly to waiting foes
Singed
Singed's tankiness is lethal and his poison deadly. You do NOT wanna get caught up against this guy. My advice to you is simple, stay away from close range and let your walkers do the damage for you. If you get too close he'll fling you into his adhesive and that's one of the rudest tactics I've ever seen quite frankly. As a matter of fact, this guy is not played often so there is generally no need to worry but when he is, take precautions
Sion
Sion's passive health gaining from the Soul Furnace is ridiculously annoying and hard to break through, not to mention his brute strength and sheer tankiness can weather any storm of attacks and if he decides it's too hot, he just ults and escapes. If your kink is undead juggernaut fighting then you do you. But that was rhetorical, nobody likes to fight Sion. He is ferocious and quite frankly rude. Just avoid him especially if you find yourself in range of his Q
Skarner
Skarner is tanky but he's awful anywhere but jungle. Sure his ult is stupid braindead but it's still easy to beat him because without his defenseive mythic, he's defenseless
Swain
Swain's power is strong against you but one auto from may not even one shot the walkers like most auto's do and they have some serious spell resistance. Use them to tank his E and the maiden to tank everything else. Let the walkers do the fighting for you and only go in when he's baby caged because he has zero mobility apart from flash
Sylas
Sylas perma heals off his W and can summon his own maiden by snagging your ultimate. At that point, it's a battle of brute strength, if you baby cage him walk around in unpredictable directions so he can't land an E recast on you. If he does, mark him then beat him senseless so he learns to never play that way again
Tahm Kench
Tahm Kench is yet another tank hellbent on weathering any storm. The River King is brutal to anyone he gets a good taste of, especially when he eats you and bullies you after he spits you out. You want that maiden up and walkers summoned not to mentioned having him marked because if memory serves correctly, he can't attack when eating enemy champs. He can also stun, knock up and tank just about anything so try not to fight this guy early
Taliyah
Taliyah not common at all top lane, in fact I only saw her there for the first time recently. She'll kite, damage and annoy you to death., but your walkers rend squishies like her. Use ur E wisely
Teemo
I've never been one to like Teemo's but he's kinda a party crasher. He blinds, poisons and outspeeds anything he comes anywhere near. So stay away and mark him. You don't have any tankiness that can stop a bunch of DPS, in fact no one does.
Trundle
I never did like meta. And this guy epitomizes why. Lethal Tempo trundle recently became a thing and it absolutely destroys tanks he fight off. Plus his W only enhances the effects and the ult makes him stronger and you weaker. Lucky thing is he's melee so fight him when he's nowhere near you or let the walkers drain him
Tryndamere
Tryndamere. Such a primitive champ for people to play. His refusal to die makes it impossible to do anything to do him when he gets low enough and then decides to ult. My last tip for you about fighting tryndamere is to fight him from range as much as possible early before 6 so he doesn't ult and kill you instead of killing him
Urgot
Urgot legit takes all the damage but that's not the problem. In fact that's not a problem at all, it's that he slices your health bar in half and then ults you for an execution. Simply try not to get ulted, but be cautious because the drill goes at like 50 MPH or at least that's how it feels. Then stay far away from auto range because then you avoid his W range at the same time. If not possible in your mind, then DODGE as quickly as possible.
Vayne
Vayne has range and can throw your health bar out the window if you aren't careful. Simply no avoiding her ranged autos so my advice to you is to stay out of AA range and from there mark her because she is squishy as FRICK. So do those things and you'll be fine
Vladimir
Vladimir is a squishy mage and can regen like crazy with his spells and life draining capabilities. but if you can keep out of his Sanguine Pool and away from his E range you'll be fine. His Q and R are point n clicks so no avoiding those but the other two should prevent some of the damage
Volibear
Volibear, the Relentless Storm, is not as relentless against Yorick. Baby cage him once he's 6 and he's toast unless he decides to ult you. hopefully it misses because then it's at maximum a 160 second cooldown and not very strong past the initial strike. Just try to only get hit by one consecutive W within 5-6 seconds or he'll deal more damage and heal which is problematic for you. Mark him and beat him senseless with ult and passive monsters and then he dies next few seconds
Warwick
His healing is stupid easy to utilize as he's a braindead champion and the healing only gets stronger as he gets weaker in terms of health. You'll definitely need ignite if engaging him into a full on fight 1v1 or otherwise. Moreover, he's quite simple to beat otherwise
Wukong
Wukong I've never seen as a huge threat. He's able to deal some damage but he has no mobility or counter mobility so if you aim W properly you'll beat him easily. From there, mark him and then wreck him
Xayah
Lethality is what Xayah mainly builds but without any form of health regen or health buildup otherwise. Mark her and she dies unless her autos are aimed right because if memory serves, her autos go through everything till it hits a certain point so it may rend your walkers and purge them. There is only one way to beat her if my concerns do appear correct, with the tankiness of your maiden.
Yasuo
His wind wall screws you over because it simply keeps you from marking him. He's also hyper strong if fed and even if not he has the famed 0/10 powerspike behind him as soon as he gets his immortal shieldbow mythic
Yone
Yone is difficult to target with his soul unbound technique which increases his movement when activated and just like his brother and killer, Yasuo, he's got two things. 1: The famed 0/10 powerspike. 2: He's hyper strong by nature. Avoid this matchup or if not possible, then avoid fighting him later in game. He'll purge you and your mini army in moments
Ahri
AVOID! No way to synergize with you because all she has is a charm and it's not a long lasting one. Just try not to get caught up in this one
Ashe
Ashe's perma slowing makes it quite easy to annoy the enemy to death. While she has range, you are able to get up close and bully the enemy who will thereby have no escape.
Draven
Draven is quite literally the only one in his league. He's revered as one of the best ADC's in game. But to Yorick, he's next to useless. Too much damage and crit strike damage at that makes it all impossible to land the finishing blow and get fed a thanksgiving turkey for 1. Although a fed Draven is a good thing, a thieving one isn't.
Ekko
Ekko's onslaught of burst damage and AP turns armor builders into pieces and vice versa. Use this combo if you want to go pure power against someone specifically building against one offense
Jhin
Jhin is weird because of his hyper carry damage wreaking havoc but at the same time, he may steal kills. If he's fed then fine but otherwise try to snag them away as a fed Yorick wreaks havoc on anyone who stands in your way
Karma
Karma's ability to root and speed you up is quite useful in battle but what causes problems is the rampant damage her aftershock can cause. It, along with the constant DPS involved in your walkers teeth, can be annoying to determine who got the kill fairly
Katarina
Katarina's ult is rude to enemies and allies tryna score a kill alike as it rends the enemy and leaves the ally without a kill. Don't go near this woman
Master Yi
His Q is strong and his ult is broken, I'll give all Yi players that, but he's mean to Yorick because when you W someone and Yi Q's the champ you W, it puts Yi in immediate danger
Renata Glasc
Renata's ult is completely broken but it doesn't excuse one thing and one thing alone, it moves your enemies until they collide in a berserker rage. This makes it excruciatingly hard to lands your W correctly, this ain't a be all end all but just be wary
Shaco
Shaco goes where he pleases or rather he goes where the next victim is. His fear and constant building of DPS can wreak total havoc on your plans to take the kill. This is the one combo of this rarity that I'd say avoid at all costs
Soraka
Soraka is a Healing Menace or at least that's my title for her. She keeps you alive much better than your Q can do for you. And although it has no effect on your maiden or walkers, it keeps you stable for a long while.
Twitch
Twitch needs no Liandry's Anguish or Demonic Embrace. His passive does it for him. If he decides to build that, it annoys anyone he's playing with because the Plague Rat becomes a Plague Thief
Veigar
Twin baby cages makes for an excellent combo. Pure power and Control are what these 2 champs do best
Vladimir
Vladimir works like the Ekko synergy but the health draining makes the enemies target you from what I've seen because it's almost impossible to kill Vlad in a 2v1
Xayah
Xayah's lethality build that she normally does can annoy even the most experienced enemies but it also annoys the Yorick player that is you because she does so much dang damage. Try to get your enemy rooted then take it from there, and bully your enemy

Couple my autism and the analytical mind I've had since birth, I am able to successfully formulate and carry out different strategies with every idea that comes to mind. They call me DevilDawg most of the time. I am actually one of the youngest hopeful streamers I know at 16 and a half. I go to high school currently with hopes of becoming a pro streamer of LoL in college. It won't come easy but your support would mean wonders. I also stream on Twitch @devildawg1234
Builds and their Contents
Tanky Fighter. That's the name of Yorick's game. Trinity Force Hullbreaker. Couple Serylda's Grudge and Black Cleaver with it and you've got a overpowered Split Pusher
Spells
He's a tank. You don't find many tanks taking Ignite. Aren't a lotta exceptions so I suggest you do the one and only Teleport spell. Obviously Flash is a neccesity to make Yorick mobile since he has ZERO mobility. To recap: Flash and Teleport
Runes
Grasp for health snagging and Demolish for wrecking turets. Yorick is one of the best split pushers in the dang game. Find a way to backdoor anyone at the enemy towers and you're golden
Items
As I said earlier in builds and their contents: this guy is a split pusher. So using things thatgive him tankiness, strength, or even a mixture of both, will do you very well. Please consider the following as a build for the Shepherd of Souls
Boots: Ionian Boots, to speed up his Maiden's arrival
Mythic: Trinity Force for the increased tower damage
3rd: Hullbreaker for split pushing reasons
4th: Serylda's Grudge, in case someone decides to attack you in your split pushing area
5th: Black Cleaver to play assistant to the SG
6th: Chempunk Chainsword to annihilate people fast, with the help of other items, and prevent them from healing back up
Abilities
Ix-Nay on straying from ability path. Unless you swap the E and W max out which is slightly tolerable. But always max Q first
