Hello I am Skyway and This is my first guide/build.(Disclaimer: It probably Sucks) Im going to talk about the Ap Assassin Katarina in this guide. That pretty much sums it up.

I like to Run standard AP Runes which are Magic Pen Reds,Scaling MR Blues,AP Quints,and Flat Armor Yellows. However there are different options. If going against AP and you are confident in your skills you can trade Armor Yellows.For Scaling health yellows and Trade the MR blues for Scaling AP Blues.

As far as the masteries Go they are very straight forward. This is for maximum damage output. You could get feast(Tier 2 on the right) for better Lain sustain but I personally don't find myself Needing it that much. Other than that everything is pretty self explanatory.

Katarina's Skill Sequence is straight forward but with a twist. What I have listed in skill order is the normal thing to do. However if you are more of an ALL IN person you may want to max your E before W. This will give less safe poke but more overall damage, but for this to work you have to engage the enemy not the other way around.

Time to talk about Katarinas Kit which I personally love. Lets first talk about her Q:Bouncing Blades. Bouncing Blades does AP damage and bounces 4 times to hit a total of 5 targets. It doesn't prioritize Champions but just goes to the nearest Target.It Also places a mark which can be consumed by your W,E,and R to do bonus damage. Your W:Sinister Steel. Is a short range ability that does magic damage to all nearby enemies. If she damages an enemy champion, she gains movement speed for 1 second. Her E:Shunpo, teleports her to a target unit and she gains 15% damage reduction for 1.5 seconds. If the target is an enemy, the target takes magic damage. Finally Her Ultimate or R:Death Lotus,channels for 2.5 seconds, throwing a barrage of up to 30 daggers at the closest 3 enemy champions within range. Each dagger deals magic damage and applies Griveous Wounds for 3 seconds, reducing regeneration and incoming healing by 50%. Also it can only hit a target 10 times This can be easily stopped with almost any CC but has potential to do MASSIVE amounts of damage.

+ Simple Champ but very good
+ Good at roaming post 6
+ All Targeted Abilities(No SkillShots)







Cons



- Weak pre 6
- Ultimate easily interrupted with many types of CC
- Squishy with out certain items
- Almost Always focused if she does good
- Not Ranged
- No CC with her abilites

You can run a couple different options with summoner spells on Katarina. The Most common is flash and ignite. However if you are going against a heavy poker or strong lane opponent you can replace ignite with heal. So you don't get utterly stomped early game and then not relevant late game.

Your Role as Katarina in your team is to be an Assassin and to do massive amounts of damage to your enemies. You typically want to jump in a fight with E then DFG,Ult,Zhonyas,Get out with E. That should destroy a team who doesn't focus you. If they do focus you Zhonyas early so your team can pick off the enemies while they are preoccupied with you.

Overall, Katarina is a very solid pick in solo que and I hope this guide will help you wreck with her. She is a very good champ to pick up if you want to try out mid or just play her. She is only 3150 Ip so fairly cheap.
