Decided to start this whole power rankings thingy. It works in a similar way to the lolesports rankings. They are based off of the follow things:
-Schedule of the teams
-Individual performances
-Team performances
-My personal opinion on the matches
-The previous week's power rankings
Since this is my first attempt at doing power rankings, they will be a bit inaccurate because this is the 1st post but they will start being more on point as the weeks go by. I plan on doing this weekly. Every Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday probably. Let's go!
EU LCS, Week 3:
1. Fnatic
2. Origen
3. H2K
4. Giants
5. Unicorns of Love
6. Copenhagen Wolves
7. Roccat
8. Gambit
9. Elements
10. SK Gaming
I am very very surprised SK is at the bottom with 0 wins. Their main problem seems to be decision making and the players underperforming. I hope they can pick it up soon. Gambit went 2-0 but their games were messy and it took them forever to close out, hence the #8 spot. UoL had a disappointing 0-2 week which is why I place Giants above them. UoL did have a rough schedule and I do believe UoL at their best is stronger than Giants at their best but this is a power ranking so Giants get the #4 spot. Fnatic, Origen and H2K are obviously the Top 3 teams right now and with Origen losing their first game in Week 3, Fnatic get 1st place for now.
NA LCS, Week 3:
1. Liquid
2. CLG
3. TSM
4. Gravity
5. TiP
6. Dignitas
7. Enemy E-Sports
8. Cloud 9

TSM were very surprising during Week 3, but in a bad way. They had a rather easy schedule facing the last place team TDK (with subs) and a weird Team Dignitas that is high in the standings but hasn't shown anything too amazing so far. Most people expected TSM to go 2-0 but they lost to Dignitas and had trouble beating TDK. I wouldn't say this is worrying for TSM on a domestic level, it's most likely them just underperforming. But looking at the bigger picture, TSM is a team that wants to compete internationally. And if they are having trouble in North America, being an international powerhouse is a nearly impossible task. But then again, this is TSM. They will bounce back. The question is, will they be ready once Worlds starts?
Liquid and CLG at the moment are the Top 2 teams and they haven't had any major problems so far. Gravity, TiP and Dignitas are slowly improving but they all have more to prove if they want to be at the top. Enemy looks rather inconsistent but they are talented and with more time they can be a solid team. Things are looking rough for Cloud 9 and Team 8. While both teams managed to get a win this week, it wasn't an easy one for either of them and they still have a lot to work on. TDK had to play with subs again. That coupled with having 0 wins so far puts them at the bottom.
LPL, Week 4:
1. Edward Gaming
2. Qiao Gu
3. OMG
4. Invictus Gaming
5. Team Snake
6. Royal Never Give Up
7. Master3
8. Unlimited Potential
9. Vici Gaming
10. LGD Gaming
11. Team WE
12. Team King
It happened! EDG lost their first Bo2 in the Summer Split. And they lost in a surprising fashion because their loss was vs Unlimited Potential, a team that has been inconsistent from the start of the LPL but has shown glimmers of hope. While EDG did lose 0-2, I do still think they are the #1 team in China. This loss hurts their power on an international level but it doesn't affect their domestic dominance. The teams after that are hard to rank. I believe Qiao Gu is slightly above the rest but they are not invincible for sure (if EDG isn't, it's hard to say Qiao Gu is). IG is obviously one of the stronger teams but I place them 4th mainly because they lost to OMG. OMG has been improving slowly and they remain undefeated despite having a revamped roster. JueJue and Amazing are looking more and more comfortable playing on stage and eventually they might be legitimate contenders in their roles.
Snake would have been placed higher but they had a very surprising 0-2 loss to Vici Gaming, a team with a wacky roster at the moment (DanDy top lane....ha...ha..). RNG, M3 and LGD continue to remain inconsistent while Unlimited Potential moved up in the standings a little bit with their win over EDG. If they can gain that consistency they might just be able to challenge for the top spot. Team WE and Team King remain at the bottom and in my opinion they have a lot to work on if they want to get into playoffs.

Impulse is inconsistent, like last split. If they get to play their style there's no doubt in my mind that they're top 2. They got a top 3 top laner and jungler. They got a mid that shows that he's still capable of playing well. And they got a bot that can keep up with the rest of the team and play a more supportive role. If they improve over the 2nd half I'm confident they will make a run for Worlds.
I think IG should be placed 3rd. They got two of the LPL's best players in my opinion, Rookie and Kakao. The rest of the team is nothing to laugh at either. LGD should be one or two places higher, considering how spring turned out for them. It's like every top Chinese team. They're inconsistent. They tend to just hand out wins and losses left and right. LGD is still a playoff team, and if they do like last split they'll just avoid EDG and overperform in playoffs.
Gambits are sold short. They had one of the better games against Fnatic this split, and Roccat is in my mind a bit worse than Gambit. It's quite even though. How can you place the Wolves so high? They share the same record as Gambit and Roccat, but are straight out worse.
I'm still not sold on IG. One week they crush pretty much everyone and the next week they drop a series randomly. RooKie is very good imo but I'm not fully convinced by KaKAO. I do think he is definitely one of the better junglers in the LPL but he doesn't seem as strong in some games. Their bot lane is alright but sometimes they are just so passive. IG is a tough team to judge. I would have placed them #3 had they not lost to OMG. Despite having a revamped roster, OMG still hasn't dropped a series which is very surprising to me. The real test for OMG will be facing EDG but right now they are a solid #3/#4 team. (with the only reason for them getting #3 being that they beat IG in their first match of the split)
I believe CW suffered from not having Dentist on stage for a few weeks. It may not seem like a big deal but having that extra voice that is there to reassure you and help you with anything does make a difference. CW remains a mystery in terms of whether or not they can handle the bigger teams in the League. However, I do think overall they are better as a 5 man unit than Gambit and Roccat. Both Gambit and Roccat are starting to show some improvement and if they can get some more teamwork in their games, they can move past the Wolves if the Wolves don't improve themselves.
I'm honestly rather disappointed by Team Impulse thus far. Gravity and Dignitas are the teams impressing me the most up to now (as I expected the current top teams of the table to be as strong as they are right now) yet I'm still wondering how the (to me surprising) roster change affects Dignitas.
I can agree. Impulse has been somewhat disappointing since the start of the split. I hope they can pick it up.
