How do I counter Teemo as Rengar?

Hi, I play a lot of Rengar and my most hated match-up is against Teemo. No matter what I do, I never seem to be able to beat him; well, I can, but it tends to be a really hard lane to play.

Is there any way I can "counter" him? Or are there any tips or tricks you could share so I can perform better against him?

Depends what teemo builds, but in general the tactic is the same as with other ranged harassers top: use brushes to farmjump or to harass him, disengage through brushes after using your burst. If he goes AP you can burst him down ridiculously well either way, if he goes bruiser you may consider the push and roam path (altho he clears waves pretty well as a bruiser).

Remember that teemo has no form of sustain unless he builds either spellvamp or lifesteal, so you can play the poke and run game pretty well if you can abuse your W.

Also: using brushes will become "riskier" when he reaches level 6, specially if he has some sort of gold advantage towards you. However, don't fear it if you're ahead, because shrooming those brushes means less shrooms to enter the lane, which means he becomes easier to gank. He'll have to choose between controlling you or whoever decides to go top for his head.

I've seen many s stomped by AP s, but to counter him in general. Try to stay in the bush and avoid as much harass as possible. You will want to max your to sustain yourself and clear the wave. While with the pushed lane, you have your oppurtunity to roam, or counter-jungle. In terms of items, is pretty good to deal with the magic damage that puts out.

Against a you don't really need to build a if you rush . The gives you CDR, Health, MR, and Bonus Healing Effects. Everything that is needed for your match-up. The CDR will let you get to that special form of your ability (quicker heal), the health, and healing effects will allow your heal to heal you for more, and the MR will help you reduce his harass, and damage.

Thanks for your advice, when I'm playing Rengar which I do well sometimes and other times very badly. I do find after building my wiggles I will build Spirit Visage for the magic resist, CD and health. Before going into my damage items. This does help, but was woulding if there was a better combination, and yeah boots are normally merc trends, so magic resist here too. Thanks for your time.

I'd like to pose a counter question to that awnser, if i may: how, being , would you counter such a play style from a ?

Thanks Berzerk thats what I've found I need to do, and yeah he is hard to take down if standing toe to toe so to speak. As rengar best damage comes with leaping from bush and having a full bar. So toe to toe unless health is really high teemo will either kill you, or escape on stupid low health.

Counter teemo -> play olaf!!!

i love 2 play teemo top, always end up crying my eyes out when i hafe to face olaf :(

otherwise you could ask the jungler for a early gank, tell him/her you're gonna have a hard time top and make sure he/her helps you out.
