Well, if you wanna go tanky after 3 items, better go items that synergize well with your build

Consider using Black cleaver & frozen mallet, as they got a hardcore synergy with runaan hurricane.
Then maybe a guardian angel or a zz'rot portal (as you roam a lot as jungle).

Would have been great to see champ mechanics explantions though.

Cheers

Hey I have been using your guide relatively successfully with 2 changes to how you have it I like gunblade over botrk because it heals on all damage not just on hit and I go w>e>q since 6.3 when they moved his attack speed buff to his w I only take a point in q when I have to because its damage is relatively weak

i play kog jung for a loooongggg time, back to season 3. but since the w rework i saw so much potentional in it, and it actually was.
so i wanted to know if anyone else got this genious idea to.
i went reading this guide and was like, pretty good guide...
until i read 'where to start in the jungle' and i almost got a hearth attack when i read "save smite on the mini golems..." because mate... you realize that when you smite the golems you can PERMA STUN every jungle camp while your w is up, and with mastery you can keep the buff until gromp.
while getting alround 0 damage. just try it :/ that is the main strength beside devourer on jung kog. and also, while your golems stun buff is up, you can take scuddle almost instantly(scuddle loses 60 armor-mr permanently if he gets stunned, and stuns last double the time on scuddle)
so scuddle should be dead in about 3 sec :)

Really nice guide man ! GJ
Personnaly I start with Q and my build is:

Devourer / Berseker / Guinsoo / BOTRK / Runnan / BT-IE

extremely squishy but you can 1v1 champ like master yi

I disagree with your assumption that botrk is the only one worth building as gunblade procs on all damage dealt including abilities and guinsoos not just basic attacks making having him fall back and poke with artillery barrage when low on health more effective then staying in to be blown up by an enemy burst champ.

Why build warmogs on kogmaw do you usually end up with the 3000 health needed to procure the passive? For sustain on him I would probably recommend blood thirster, botrk or hextech ginblade all work well on him especcially with guinsoos and runaans helping with the on hit stuff

Hello, I have updated the guide so it will hopefully answer your question for future readers.
Yes, if you build Kog'maw tanky you will have around 4000 health and 150 MR & ARMOR. The only life steal item that is worth buying is BORK. It synergies very well with his kit. Keep in mind majority of your damage is on-hit, meaning you will not be receiving the same amount of healing if you built AD. That is the reason why I don't recommend life steal if you are going tanky. You will not heal enough damage from life steal for it to matter, not to mention Warmog's passive heal is a lot more convenient and better for keeping you alive.

Hello Cybersaint2k, yeah sorry I did forget to omit a lot of information in this guide. However I would like to say that Rammus is not actually a hard counter to Kog'maw. Note that the Kog'maw build actually gives you a fair amount of MR, around 150. This means that you will not be taking as much damage as you would if you build standard ADC (aka glass cannon). That's the reason I recommended being tanky, because they will dive you, and you will get cc'd on. Chances are you will die, but not before dealing enough damage to severely cripple or kill one or more of their champions.

Also keep in mind. If Rammus decides you taunt you, this means A. He IS NOT TAUNTING YOUR ADC OR MID LANER. This means that you will have effectively peeled for your team, without the need for having any cc of your own. I believe that is the biggest perk of my build
