I found great success with the 3rd variant of the skill order in your build where you just skill your Q 6 times instead of the regular 5 times. :P
I got banned for hacking though.

Thanks for the credits my man, awesome guide! I left the league scene for a bit. It is super cool that after writing this guide, Urgot went from being simply a niche champion to pick/ban at worlds!

I'd like to know how to engage on Akali when she's in her cloud (W). never know what to do in this case and more times than not I get killed. ty.

One thing I noticed is that you don't have anything talking about the Point Runner Item Passive (on Raptor's Cloak, Zz'Rot Portal, and Omwrecker). It is very helpful for roaming in lane and dodging skillshots/positioning Purge while in the area of a (dead)turret.

Oh, you made it to Challenger, congratulations. Anyways, I just bought a rune page dedicated to the game's big, fat and tanky boi and I will be trying the different rune pages you recommend. Yes, too.

Do you recommend over in all matchups? Before the nerfs to Aery, I took it in melee matchups so I could proc it more often and I took Comet in ranged matchups.

Hey,
Yes, I recommend over in all matchups. These both runes are mainly picked up for early game but even then deals more damage for as long as you don't attack your enemy whenever you have a new Aery proc available. Furthermore, 's damage is better in late game. The number difference might not be massive but it's definitely noticeable. I would heavily recommend to stick to or in ranged matchups and to take one of these keystones - , , or situational keystones like and against melee champions.

Even pre Aery nerfs its damage was weaker than .

I think I tried on once. I didn't really like it, it didn't seem to do much, but that was long ago so it may be different now. I've been using the tree now, mostly and and Comet is my favourite, more or less. But still, seeing your build, I may give PtA another shot, sometime.

Hey AbaddonSoulchain!

is one of the best runes on because it does a lot of damage in all the stages of the game while also increasing your allies' damage. It's not Fervor of Battle but it does its job right ;p

Summon Aery is one of the weakest choices for Urgot as he doesn't have spammable abilities and his autoattack range is rather low. Additionally, its damage is very low already and it receives even further nerfs..

Arcane Comet is a good choice but sometimes you can switch between and . Other rune choices are good too, check them out, maybe you'll like one of the other keystones :)

No problem, remember that you can proc it in two ways:

- first - by autoattacking an enemy with three standard autoattacks. This will deal 100% of the proc's damage.

- second - by actvating the proc's damage with . It will deal 1/3 of the standard damage so if it's possible try to proc it without using W.

You can do a combo of Q into W because then your target is locked on but remember that it costs a lot of mana.

It's really good. I also had some difficulties with getting used to this rune. It's not that difficult with some practice. I'm sure that you have enough skill too, sir!
There's no need to downside yourself :P

You're right, I didn't but let me tell you, back in season 2~ I was also in silver (even in bronze) so there's no need to be worried about current rank :)

You're very right, but it's not the same. See, I've been playing this game for years, Must have been around s3-s4 when I started again. I didn't immediately start playing ranked but when I did, I was stuck in Bronze for a while, and rightfully. Lately, I broke new ground (I was placed Silver IV just by the provisional games) but I'm not that confident, I've only played 30-something games this season because I get discouraged easily, even though I'm usually the optimist of the team when I play.

My skill seems to be the weak point. I have extensive knowledge of this game, theoretically only. My execution is lacking, from my mediocre farming skills to my also mediocre decision making and sheer inability to carry a game. Sure, I screw up less than most players and am mostly tilt-proof, but it's not enough to call myself a "good player". Good K/D/A isn't enough either.

To put it in few words, I'm certain I've reached my peak. Maybe I can get to Gold V, but not further, Gold III at best, which is why I've been trying to convince myself to stick to normals but some stupid itch is pulling me back every year. I hope you understand I'm not trying to say you're wrong, just trying to show why I can't bring myself to agree despite the good points you make.

But, I've digressed enough from the point. I think you're right in that I need to try PtA on again and see how it works. Your guide is very well-made and I'll follow it to the letter.

I didn't do an example build because even can be sometimes delayed. I would have to list like 10 different builds based on situation. Eventually it will be done but for now I have other priorities, sorry ;/
