I do like your build and really want to try it, but I kinda feel naked with one spell in the dumps (bio-arcane barrage). Well, not really in the dumps. I guess it can be personified as making your autoattack a castable spell that does CRAZYBUTTONSOFDAMAGE lol

great guide to AP Kog! I love Kog and all builds that include AP with him (I don't really like those AD-Kogs for some reason. Probably because they only started ad cuz they made Koggy's ult scale with AD *grumble*)
+1!

Great build. I like to rush Rylai's after my Tear because the slow is vital to me for chasing with Living Artillery. Also, here's a screenshot of my first six matches with this build:

Keep it up!

I don't realy see how void staff would add much mroe dmg than nashors unless ur targetting ppl that have lots of Mresist in that case you fail

I think u need atk speed and mp regen also it gives cd reduction and ap :P

Void Staff is MUCH more damage than Nashor would be.

If you are having mana problems, it's your own fault.

This isn't an Attack Speed/AP build, Void Staff > Nashors

I've considered Kog'Maw as my main for quite some time now. I've played both pure AP and DPS builds for Kog extensively, and the fact is that they both work well.

-AP Kog does far more damage. This is a fact (crunch the numbers) but if you do not have the skill and aim for it, then you don't have AP Kog. Also safer to play since you'll be ranging even farther away than with his Barrage. Just need to know where to be in the right spot at the right time.

-DPS Kog, while doing a lot less damage than AP Kog, has diversity and penetration to where armor is not a problem. So, DPS Kog doesn't actually need to do crazy damage to get the kills. Also a lot easier to play (but less fun in my opinion.) DPS Kog is also a lot closer to the fight, but sometimes you'll still be safe just being in the midst of your team.

Both are excellent builds, AP is for skilled Kog players and can be better depending on how talented the player is. DPS is for those who don't wish to aim so much.

This build is decent, but I am working on what might be a superior utilization of Kog's potential. His AP ratios are nice, thats good and all but why build him pure AP? Bio-Arcane barrage is the reason not to. With Malady, Wits end, Madred's Bloodrazor, Sword of the Divine and BA Barrage on while fighting a 3k HP champion you can dish out about 750 damage a second as magic damage while reducing their MR to almost nothing. AP is still good to have, which is why you build Abyssal Scepter and such items but ignoring the potential of BA barrage is idiotic. His first ability even give attack speed, which obviously is meant to synergize with BAB and Madred's. Also, if you use another ! or say stucks instead of stacks, I'm going to murder you (Is it just me or do all the top rated guides have the worst english?)

"Bio-Arcane Barrage will not help you on killing heroes cause your hit doesn't count so much"

Ofcourse it will, an AP kog can hit up to 10% of the enmys max hp w/o bloodrazor.
