While I play Maokai more as a main tank, if I was to build him as an AP off-tank then this build looks like something I would try. Everything seems to be covered. You cover early game mana and mana regen (with some AP added in there), add a bit of survivability and then add the hybrid AP+Survivability items. Sounds good!

Really? The dodge? Hmm I'll have to try it out and if I like it I'll definitely update it on here.

Great build, aside from Ardor. To be honest, I find it's an awful mastery, and putting three point in it just for 8 extra AP at the end really won't do you any good. Put them into the dodge mastery instead - you'll find that it'll help you tank that much better.

I enjoyed reading this. Its well put together and it seems like a support/off tank kinda build. Very well done.

I don't own Maokai myself, but with analysis on what you pick and why with logical reasoning behind it with a nice format to go with it, you get a +1 from me :3
