Hi Dufftime!
I am a newbie in mobafire and I wanted to know your opinion on this little question :
Let's suppose a veigar takes the Void Staff, plus 9 Greater Mark of Magic Penetration, Sorcerer's Shoes, should he take also the Archaic Knowledge matery ? or should he take the burning Embers mastery, that is if he plays ignite.

Thanks for answering fast !

Getting DFG instead of Zhonyas is viable, but only sometimes, when youre not getting focused and killed off so much. I think DFG is a great item, but the hourglass just fits me a little bit more.

That may be true duff (If youre not counting DFG), but I dont NEED the extra dmg. I need the utility of other items way more.

Well, I usually dont lose mid 1 lose 10 wins or sth like that and I cant think of that many champs that have an easy time with me :P

Veigars auto attack range is about the same as his balefull range. Even in early game, before I get LB, I usually follow up my stun - burst combo with an auto attack. It can make a difference between a kill and rage :P

I dont really like void staff because it lacks any other effect (Will keeps me alive, lich bane does massive dmg and move speed, Archangels gives mana, boots give move speed...). Its just pure damage oriented item like Rabadons and getting it instead of something else is not really worth it for me.

I like this build, especially the explanation of minion power, i tend to have trouble with some champions early game. Also, the spell vamp is really neat in battles and later phases of the game, although i'm usually just fine with tons of health pots. They are dirt cheap and replenish a lot - and i can get other items faster.

I would like to ask what you think about getting DFG and lich bane. That way, you do not have zhonya's passive, but you can instakill tanks or blast multiple champions at once, assuming you hit properly.

And just one quick comment regarding the mobafire guids stuff: if you want for example a meki pendant to look like a Meki Pendant, just write ((meki pendant)) and replace the "(" with "[".

"You want mid, because not many champions can defeat you there."

o_O; I can't think of many solo lane champs who don't beat Viegar to be honest.

My first concern, I would like to point out something that I feel is worth mentioning; I'm sure you will have a rebuttal but this is my opinion, which is that Viegar's auto attack range is not excellent. Lich Bane is a great item, and if you farm well you'll be 800+ AP with Viegar, but, to buy Lich Bane is to plan to auto attack. This will put you in a lot of danger to be able to use that big chunky lich Bane proc. It's a good idea, but I wonder how it would pan out in functionality with champs like Irelia out on the field.

Concern #2, lack of Void staff in the core build. Void staff is an item I 100% buy on my AP casters, regardless of how much MR the opponents plan on building. Even if an opponent only has 60 armor, Void staff still pens a very large amount of that, and leads to a very effective increase in damage.
