okay well.... ima have to cave aobut the manamune part. your reasoning is just too good for me now <.>

plus im in no mood to continue this arguement for however long it goes on. i have my yorick build, you have yours. hows about that?

i also dont understand why you call yorick a "caster" and say his ghouls are good early in the game. they are a joke. all game.

So... you basically just take a champ, use half of him, and throw the rest out of the window...
Just try to slow the enemy with W and cast E on them. They will either run away (let you farm) or fight the ghouls (let you farm). And farming is what gets you items, right? If you can spam this, you can farm more -> tear. Now the ghouls scale with AD, so if you want them to hurt more, you want to to make the tear into a manamune. Seems pretty straightforward...

they are decent late game if you actually have some bulky items

not true. the ghouls decay with percentage of hp, so it will take them the same time to die, no matter how much hp they have. there is no way how to make them last longer. there is a way how to make them hit harder though. the only buff apart from yoricks AD they can use is rally, so if you want them to hurt, pick rally, or get some ad. again - manamune.

if you paid any attention at all to riot when they were creating him, he is a bulky melee AD dps with minions, not a frikking caster. you build him tanky items.

Okay. What? I mean.. just because they tell you it's meant to be a tanky dps, you play it as a tanky dps?

@dirrwen
Thank you for your second paragraph, i'll change that part accordingly.

As for the manamune, you can spam heal ghul to keep yourself alive, plus both of your ranged summons benefit greately from the "negligible" damage from manamune. 30% of it goes directly to their attack and more than 80% goes into impact damage when you summon them. This, coupled with ghoul spamming is a good enough reason to get manamune for me.

Also, because of the heal ghul, Yorick isn't really all that squishy, plus he got his ulti that can work wonders. But you have to try that for yourself; stats-wise, Yorick could be considered a squish.

And just a quick question: How the hell are you "bulky", when you rush sheen and it's your only item? The problem with sheen is that you are too slow to get to the enemy and to low hp to chase them far enough. If you rush sheen, none of these two will change, you will just get more potential damage which you cannot land.

-1 from me. i completely disagree with most things in this guide, such as the "core items" that make him about as squishy as anivia is at level one, while yorick is about level 16:P. second, i hate manamune on him. period. his skills dont even cost that much mana, his base AS is POOP, and the damage you gain from it's passive is always negligible to me. i also dont understand why you call yorick a "caster" and say his ghouls are good early in the game. they are a joke. all game. they are decent late game if you actually have some bulky items, considering they scale with his hp, not his squishiness, but if you want a strong early game, just get sheen ffs.you also build him wiht about 1/2 of a defensive item, when, if you paid any attention at all to riot when they were creating him, he is a bulky melee AD dps with minions, not a frikking caster. you build him tanky items. also, i wholeheartedly agree with rushing sheen on him. the bonus damage is amazing since his spells have such short CDs, yet you dont like it cause it draws minion aggro, if you build him at all like you should(bulky), minion aggro should be NOTHING to you. yeah, the 25 AP is useless, but doesnt that mean the 30 AP is useless for triforce? yeah :P.also, 25 AP is useless on anyone.....with your logic, you should never get sheen on anyone. it also seems to solve my mana problems for early game until i can get blue, because yes, it gives about 7 ghouls, which is alot since i dont wastefully spam my spells on minions and push my lane. i last hit normally. 7 ghouls is about one more kill for me early, ntm the bonus dmg each ghoul i cast.

one more thing: in your section about sheen, you say "get some damage items to make proper use of its passive." rofl. rushing it as a first item is making use of it's passive, considering the fact that the passive only affects BASE DAMAGE, like, not the damage you get from items? yeah :P

The three items are Yorick's core. I usually follow them up with spirit visage and last whisper. Last item is really situational and depends on the enemy team.

although i normally wouldn't vote on a other guide on Yorick (because i have one on my own :P) i do agree with the playstyle you suggest here and mkaes me think about my own guide. i do not agree with the items, but that is personal. and i have a different view on mid and laet game id do say you are spot on on the early game. so yeah, +1 from me :D.

I see what you are trying to create here (Though i find the lack of other items abit frustrating) I will not rate this up or down until i've tried this build once Urgot is free, then we'll see :)

Seems pretty solid. I like the ideas you express here. Most people are calling Yorick UP, but I honestly feel its because they lack the vision you express here. +1
