It's a good build, but you should take soulstealer out as a core item, and put something else in. SS should only be bought if you are doing phenomenally, and a lot of people see builds like this and assume it should be bought no matter what. Good build though, so +1

Balancing troll post.

Poppy has invincibility, her passive and a massive burst. she doesn't need any tank items.

Poppy is a bit like TF or Teemo- a hybrid
and like all hybrids, they can be built as an AD, and AP or a hybrid and have huge success with each. I'm going to assume that you'd be taking rabbadon's over hour glass in place of the ring, put i strongly reccomend that it is built before DFG and void staff- firstly because MSS and Rabbadons mean epic AP, and because most carries get a tanky item like banshee's veil as their last so stacking on the MP should be one the last things you need to do. and DFG stacks off AP so getting the Rabbadon's first makes it a ton more effective when it comes.

EDIT- WTF is with the dodge runes? fix plz.

i see ppl complain that its not good cuz u cant farm and u cant push with this build. well, its not your job to push, and on the farming side, your wrong. only thing differite is taht she doesent farm creeps, she farms Champions. actualy tryed it, after many others, and im not playing poppy any other way, ever . . . [my first score was 23-3-x] something like that

Solid build. Once I get sheen I put together the DFG and then Morello's tome for CD reduction and mana regen. Finish the Triforce then build her last items as situational stuff. Without CD reduction runes you get to use her Q pretty much on every attack, which helps a lot with farming. With the mana regen it's almost free to cast, so the only drain on your mana is using your other abilities in combat. You're use order is on the money though, DFG>Q>E then I just spam Q on whoever is close and E when it's up.

personally I think the best builds for Poppy are in this order:
1. Hybrid
2. AD
3. AP (and tank)
Admittedly when I play Poppy AP I build it more or less your way.
The big miss in your paper is that you don't provide arguments/evidence to support your case.
So i'm not convinced and i'll stick to my order of preference. That being said Poppy is one of the most versatile champs in the game (which is why I like her so much) and an AP build is perfectly viable of course.

Poppy is a HYBRID.

100% Attack Damage scaling on a magic damage ability, yet strong AP scaling.
A strong hybrid is much harder to defend against, especially as a carry who will usually only get 1 item fairly late in the game to defend against an assassin like Poppy. If they pick magic resistance, you still hit like a truck and your auto attacks tear through them. If they pick armor your intitation combo will crush them. Trinity Force and Hextech Gunblade are core.

Also this is how to kill even the toughest of heroes using hybrid Poppy and the above two items.

Heroic Charge (Stunned, TriForce bonus activated)
Devastating Blow (TriForce bonus used)
Hextech Gunblade Ability (Slowed)
Paragon of Demacia (+35 AD, +25% Speed, TriForce bonus activated)
Auto Attack (TriForce bonus used)
Devastating Blow (Triforce bonus activated and used).

The timing is tricky because if you do everything too quickly you'll get caught in the Trinity Force cooldown. Use the time you get from the stun and the slow. Devastating Blow resets your swing so make sure you don't cancel out your auto attacks. This combo takes about 4.5 seconds and will kill anyone without some serious defenses without using Diplomatic Immunity. Use your ultimate and you will kill ANYONE before the Immunity wears off.
