Great guide. First time i played i went 13/7/4 because they all targeted me first, but with the spell vamp i was able to survive for so long and doing massive damage :)

Cleanse is an alternate choice for some AD Carries in ranked if you see you are against a CC heavy team...You do not take cleanse over ignite or exhaust because you "might" get ignited. To actually say it is a "must" shows that you are ignorant to the current metagame or you are just trolling. Also, it is pretty standard to rush a RabCap, if you watch the pro tournaments the mid AP and solo top (if they are AP) will grab needlessly large staff when they first blue pill then ruch cap...it makes every purchase after that much better i.e. +30% ap boost...your comment gets a -1....I'm sorry.

You're arguing my Swain is too squishy? When I spec in defense? Really?

Swain is naturally more tanky than the vast majority of other AP carries in the game, I also spec him in defense which makes him even MORE tanky. How you got blown up is beyond me, the only way swain gets blown up is if you mistake him for being rambo and just charge into fights. He is naturally WAY more tanky than other mages like Brand, Malzahar, Karth, Kass, Annie, etc, etc, etc. If you're getting blown up when you're using Swain I can only imagine the misfortune that happens to you using an actual squishy mage.

Good begin, but the utter lack of defensive items bothers me. Went with this build, raped early and mid game, then when some of the enemy team got a little fed, I would be destroyed in mere instants. Lost the game because I was the only one there to do damage, and I just fell apart. Wouldn't recommend this.

Awesome bulid i try it today while swain is for free, this was my second battle with a swain and first with this bulid, we win, my stats 15/2/21 :D looks like this bulid is key for ownage... i do it by this way, boots + 3 hp potion - dorian ring- sorceres boots - catalist- rod of ages - will of the ancient - rabadon deathcap - my last item firegrasp, also i should sell doran ring and try buy somthing to hp boost like like reray crystal septer but i dont have more money.

+1 from me this build is great. Just went 12/0/9 with this build and they surrendered at 20 minutes. AND i had 6000 gold to spend at about 18 minutes as well as dorans ring, catalyst and boots of speed. AND it was my 3rd game as swain ever.

You honestly should never ever follow a guide 100% actually read and look at it. You should have a core 2 or 3 then you get what ever is need based who your up against.
