Couple things. I've used this item build before you even put it up on moba.
1: I should tell you now, THIS BUILD IS COMPLETELY LATE GAME. Aye, max hextech gunblades+a rabadons is the best damage output for katarina's ult, but that's too expensive and dependent on farming. If you get zoned, you're screwed if you're following this.
2. Armor seals and flat health quints. even with 3 hp pots and boots to start out with, the extra tankyness early game is more crucial than the extra ap, she can more than make up for it later on with those gunblades and rabadons. (plus with this if you're daring enough you can start off with an amplifying tome + 1hp)
3: Death lotus does NOT, I repeat NOT proc the full slow from Rylai's. It is both an AoE and DoT spell. Just because each individual dagger does spell damage doesn't mean it's not a multitarget.
4: Abyssal is a VERY good item on katarina, okay AP, gives extra mpen, and magic resist. By the time they notice that there's the abyssal debuff, you could/can jump on them and start your spinning. As for zhonya's, if it's that 2 seconds that saves your butt, DO IT. AP wise and armor wise, it's a good item with it's active, whether or not it cancels your channel.

I realize that I have criticized you harshly, and I take full responsibility for whatever comments I receive in turn, but seriously, by the time you complete 4 hextechs and a rabadon's, they're gonna have enough MR to block off most of your damage, and they're going to focus you down HARD.

Also I have noticed the lack of awareness of people in general, as you could stand next to someone while invisible with sunfire and they often dont notice. Also for the flat Armor seals, if the person you are laning against happens to be magic damage it would be useless. Flat HP quints make sense though I have not added a "runes you might consider" section yet which i should have. that is my bad -.-. Also you don't get zoned that bad unless your in high elo ranked. Once you get your ultimate you often zone them out and if you dont they die to you... I have also mentioned when to jump in and when not to is the difference between good players and bad ones.
EDIT: oh wait...i did mention other runes that are viable...I don't even know my own guide. FLat HP was mentioned for both yellow and quints. If you were to take Armor you should take MR blues as well. I'll add that

Each blade from Katarina's Death Lotus is considered a single-target spell, so it applies the full 35% slow from Rylai's Crystal Scepter

Thanks for voting! Pure attack damage kat? O_O I guess it is viable, If played as an ad carry she could Shunpo to close the gap and just keep auto attacking, but based on what you said it seems to be pure ad? If it is, then I feel that it would be extremely weak as your Shunpo doesn't benefit from attack damage and it would deal 240 damage excluding magic penetration and magic resist. Also Shunpo is part of your core combo. If played as pure ad you wouldnt get much move speed to follow up with your auto attack. Hope this has helped!

i saw an ad kat today. not very good.

Using this build I went 24/0/12! I like the extreme spell vamp you get when you use your ult. Also I want to know your opinion on the pure attack damage Katarina builds that I have seen.

Good guide, but u mention rylai's at the end, but I don't see rylai's in your core or situational item build. also could abyssal scepter be a situational item for its mr and aura?

Rylais is in the 2nd build, just click the 2nd Katarina icon at the top. thank you for mentioning abyssal scepter completely forgot about it. It reveals you (by reveal I mean that people can see the debuff) if you are planning a gank so I don't recommend it. A really good example of it being bad is if your at low hp and running away in the jungle, they will realize you are still around when they see the debuff.
