Armour Penetration? YOUR A TANK!!! Not a DPS, early game he will still DESTROY! No mater what your build is so what do you do? Take advantage of this of course! Your Q will HURT and your E will DOMINATE! With a good laner you can secure a hell of allot of kills.

I agree full tank Garen is useless but lucky for you unranked = lowbies you know how lowbies play right guys? HES IN RANGE ROLF BOMB!!! More to the point if you can lead the charge 50% of people will just hit you because they can allowing you team to run in after Morgana has used her Dark Binding and Sion has used his ZOMFG ZUKE combo.

true, you would never see garen tank in a ranked or something, but he's fun to play as tank in normal games. also, he doesn't ks that bad compared to rammus, ammumu and other tanks who deal lots of damage passively and aoe. also, it's about how you play him that makes him a decent tank...of course if you go head to head in a teamfight people will not focus you...so you've gotta surprise the enemy...and given the fact that he's a great chaser, i don't think people mind if you get 2-3 kills on the way...and i forgot to add...it's recommended that your team does lots of damage.

Garen should NOT be played as a tank. He lacks the disruption or danger that it would require. As an added bonus his Ult results in KSing the carries on your team.

Could use a bit of organizing too by the way, bit of color and code goes a long way.

well the idea is that you'll be the first one in, and mid-game you don't have much health mid-game so they will usually attack you...didn't think it this far:D

I guess I'll bring up how he works through the game; Okay early game is where you shine gank, dive, kill do anything to annoy the enemy team. By mid game you should have a few core items and be as tanky as possible BUT Garen has no taunts so how do you make them hit you? You run in face first with your shield up spinning, your damage is low compared to how it was early game so if their smart they will try to ignore you. Late game your not going to die its that simple, you stick with your team and lead the charge. They will be ignoring you by now as your damage is very low late game BUT they will hit for half the fight thats long enough for your team to get off their CC's and anything that hurts, other than that just have fun =].

Great guide, great build. Something your guide needs is a way of telling new Garen's how to get aggro (Make people hit you). Other than that adding some alternate rune options would help, and writing up your skills a bit better (I know were both lazy people). Other than that GREAT! =]
