Imagine this scenario.

You're at a hotel which you paid for.
The manager thinks the tiled roof (which has had no faults at all) is faulty
He removes the tiled roof, replaces it with some newspaper
You complain
They put another layer of newspaper on top rather than putting the tiles back on
Refuses to change it back to the tiles because they adamantly think that their idea of newspaper is better than the tiles

That would be a joke, right? That's the situation now with the jungle.

Copied and pasted from my jungling 101 guide, the effects of the change -

What the change did -
  • Removed any form of skill from jungling. It's now just about killing creeps.
  • Counter jungling is useless and pointless.
  • Underlevelled, underfarmed junglers
  • Farm based jungles (like Yi, etc) are now the best type, promoting passivity and lack of action
  • Control junglers are bad (with the exception of those that can duel in the enemy's jungle, like Lee Sin, they're just worse, not quite bad)
  • Ganking junglers are bad
  • Far less choice in the route that you go. Basically, you go the Aggressive route or become underlevelled.
  • Devalued the choice of a jungler as a whole
  • Sustainability of any kind is a joke - take Trundle for example, he can go through the jungle and be at full health permanently just starting with a Vampiric Sceptre
  • Seeing "unique" junglers (like Blitz) isn't "unique" (or at least AS "unique" as it was) any more.
  • No thought process between focussed or transitional runes/masteries for certain situations. Everyone can breeze through the jungle anyway so you might as well just go transitional.
  • Lower amount of viable junglers.

That's not mentioning the fact that it won't even change the "jungle meta" for the better. As I mentioned, it means farming is the best way to go now, and passive gameplay isn't fun. Though what we'll see is different champions phasing in (such as Malphite and Yi) to being some of the best, now at a glance, you think "WOW, more junglers! Good job Riot!", though you fail to take into account junglers that are considerably worse after this change, such as Warwick and Fiddlesticks (who, by the way, REALLY sucks now). You don't broaden the jungling selection, you only change it. There's also the fact that there's always going to be junglers that are better than others, too. This change won't change it.

Before you bash at me for "not embracing change", please read all of my points with consideration. I like change, I was annoyed that the new masteries meant champions breezed through the jungle, though all in all they were positive, and allowed a lot more customisation with your choices. The jungle remake isn't a good change. Not all changes are positive.

Edit:
Stonewall008 on the new jungle - "The fact that there are less "viable" junglers now..."
Riot have blatantly failed on at least one of their fronts, as I've said before.
