Dude, you would have your advantages, but never in ranked. In ranked play, u need to fulfill your role, no playing 3 roles at once.
And no i have not tried out your ryze build. No magic pen, no me playing that guide.

Have you tried the build or just felt like trying to sound good? I go positive every game even if my whole team feeds. I have also never seen another Ryze that can beat me in lane or 1v1 at any point in game.

Short and simple, you got NO magic penetration. Not even in masteries. Those 10% is needed, along with a more balanced use of runes. Like more Magic penetration. This is not a guide for summoner level 15+.

If you want pictures go see other builds I am addressing the fact that no one takes Strength of the Spirit on a caster that has over 5k mana. Rod of Ages is there purely to give the health bonus needed early and I upgrade to manamune earlier cause its easier to stack with autoattacks. No need for CDR runes I hit max 40 without elixir this is the best rune set I've tried.

While I confess to know precious little about Ryze, this guide is plain old badly written. No images, no alternatives, and only a few chapters.

Constructive critisism if you want

The RoA is in its correct placement, it really is what Ryze needs early (HP, Mana and some AP for bounces on his Spell Flux.)

Although there are many other things that need improvement. I can't imagine that rune set to work, Magic Pen as marks is better, mana reg seals and some CDR glyphs too.

Also if you intend to buy manamune which i otherwise would REALLY not get, don't upgrade it that early. Stack tear up while building other stuff. And FoN is not necessary.

Why buy rod of ages on ryze instead of banshees, when his ap ratio is kinda bad? RoA is so expensive...Might as well save the catalyst, and use the other 1700 gold to buy your glacial shroud. manamune is nice, but there's no reason to rush finishing your tears when you can be building harder tank items. Also, why a lichbane? I understand that it has MR, but other than that, you won't have high AP to make it worth the effort, if you really want a sheen item, why not get a trinity? It has higher move speed buff, some hp, chance to slow, and I'm pretty sure the proc damage would be about the same...or even higher than going lichbane. but again, why not get another tank item, or void staff for magic pen, or will of the ancients for more spell vamp? Is a FoN really worth it if you only have 2.3k hp? I'll hold vote till I get a response.
