This is as much almost a record of my own experience as it is anything else; back up to 1200 ELO after my initial games not playing support went badly wrong, and still find this works. If I ever get up to the level where my teammates can watch their own backs, we'll never know.
Warding is probably the thing I am still learning how best to do, so I'll update that too as I get better. If you have any suggestions for how to play these champs better, don't be shy to post! Any difference in standard builds higher up in ELO?
And you should include the gold runes for the rune section. Both seals and quints are very helpfull for that extra gold to be able to buy items and still be able to buy a fairly high amount of wards.
CV and Flash is kinda standard in the lower elo's but when you reach the higher elo they are optional, because people tend to ward more the higher elo you get. Exhaust+Flash is also a good combination for the support since the AD-carry 90% of the time goes heal+flash.
You need to add a wards section, it's the most important thing that separates good supports from bad supports. Because you will be the one buying the most wards in your team. Know when to pink dragon, when to ward enemy buffs etc. is a vital part of your role as a support.
