Dear emo
your excellent, i haven't personally tried out this guide, but i have played nautilus in an incredible array of "meta-***ing" builds.
- ad nautilus
- hybrid tank nautilus
- ap nautilus
all of these created domination in the fields of justice and came with much applause and surprise from my fellow summoners. u have done a good job and i have seen these kinds of down voting comments before about how they know that the build wont work without trying it. excellent guide

I play Nautilus and just now started paying atention to mobafire, nautilus is not "that" ap carry you always hope, he is melee and only ulti is ranged ability, so in teamfight he will take focus, and not that burst dmg, you also forgot W - Titan's Wrath, his burst dmg comes from E - Riptide and R - Depth Charge, he has nothing else, only cc, i think some attack speed item together with some health would improve that build, but i still say it's way better to go jungle with this champion, because anyone who knows nautilus will kill him easily if he starts mid, althought if you start jungle and then face the ap carry mid game, about both lvl 12, i think you can face him and even kill him.

Sorry, but AP Nautilus is far from viable. From your guide, it appears you played him mid a couple of times, and thought you should write a guide. Not saying your guide is bad, merely that it requires much more playtesting and refining before being good. Try again when you can give info on more than three mid matchups.

I'm surely hoping you're basing your comment on you playing Nautilus more than me? I've played him mid more than against just the three champions listed, I just don't entirely remember how I handled them and how it went - for some reason my PC keeps d*cking around with LOLRecorder. He IS viable, he IS powerful, and he WILL destroy you if you don't know how to counter him - which you won't, seeing as how he's "far from viable". As I stated, anything out of the meta is frowned upon, and apparently worthy of an instant downvote. Have you even tried the build/guide to begin with?

From my point of view. No way AP nautilus is viable. Any mid would devour nautilus for his lack of mobility. I mean he may be a tanky character but whats to stop someone like Cassiopeia with sustained damage not to rape him? It seems to me like he would feed. Also his last hitting ability is like a talon mid or pantheon or kassadin. Just short range and could get zoned hella easy. So i dont agree with it. Good effort though

It'd be somewhat the same to say Jungle Nautilus is not viable due to terrible dueling and lack of mobility. It's just no fair comparison. I haven't faced a Cassiopeia yet, sorry for that, but whereas she has rediculously strong DoTs and AoE damage, Naut has damn strong burst damage, which he can repeat fairly quickly. Most people simply run like hell when an anchor comes flying in, which is a free damage ticket. Disruptive champions are feared the most, and Nautilus is a chart-topper at that.
