PsiGuard has played plenty of games on Hecarim and he knows for sure that Hecarim is one squishy horse.
Whoa, how did you know that? o.O
Shurelya's Battlesong is an item for the support not really Hecarim. The movespeed boost is nice but let your support get it so that you can focus on tankier items. If you still want it, get it late game when warpatch is more useful.
This is actually wrong. A lot of tank or bruiser junglers are getting Shurelya's now along with the support. Since it's an active, there's no clash of auras so it's just as effective. Junglers typically offer more utility than pure damage or defense since they don't get as much gold as they could in lane. Shurelya's is cheap, it builds out of a gp10 and it offers health and CDR in addition to the active. It's a great item on most junglers and it's awesome on Heca. Try it out, you can get it fairly early. I usually go philo-boots-HoG-boots2-aegis-shurelya.
Everything else you said sounds solid though.
Dead Hecarims don't move very quickly.
What he said^.
Yes I've tried the build and I have quite a few problems with this guide. Hecarim isn't an ADC so he shouldn't build so much offensive items. Hecarim is best played as a tanky dps/burst champ. PsiGuard has played plenty of games on Hecarim and he knows for sure that Hecarim is one squishy horse.

You are focusing way too much on utilizing Warpath. You are overestimating it's power. It is best late game not early game. During the early part of your build you focus mostly on movespeed. The movespeed boosts are large but they have cooldowns. By building those items early you lose out on damage making Hecarim not as threatening. You also don't build any defensive items so Hecarim dies faster. This is what PsiGuard probably meant by "Dead Hecarims don't move very quickly."
This really shouldn't be the main build there is no balance at all. You should make a build that is well balanced and this build should be an alternative.

So did you try it out? or just assume he will be too squishy? I encourage you to give it a few shots, and I bet you won´t find him that squishy.
but +1 from me :D
