Only three things I said in that post were my personal opinion, and not facts. Stating that the build isn't very good, saying that maxing W second is best, and saying Trinity Force > Iceborn Gauntlet.

Thanks for your honesty. I've been planning Season 4 changes and their will be a lot of stuff to change. Also, what your saying, all of it, is an opinion. I think you rethink your vote and comment, all your saying is opinion. Think about it.

I'm sorry, but now that I've actually looked over the build, it's not very good. Quints of scaling anything terrible. For items, Sapphire Crystal start is never good on anybody. Black Cleaver shouldn't even get a mention, as he cannot reliably stack it on multiple enemies without additional items. Last Whisper is superior to Phantom Dancer, especially with Statikk Shiv. Trinity Force is better than Iceborn Gauntlet in the current meta. Spirit Visage is a core item if they have any magic damage at all. Maxing Remove Scurvy second is preferable over maxing Raise Morale second. Sorcery > Fury on Gangplank, as he is more reliant on cooldown reduction than attack speed.

Its base heal is enough if you max it first. Not counting Drain, it's the second strongest non-ultimate heal in the game, behind only Meditate. You don't need AP for it to be effective early. Hell, just a Spirit Visage can be enough to make it effective later on. With Iceborn Gauntlet and Spirit Visage, that's a 468 instant heal; that is very good, even mid- to late-game.

Also, have you tried a bootless build with Stattik Shiv and Trinity Force? I find that it's quite effective if you get fed early-game, or get farmed up enough.

Drakon you're right, but I don't find it to scale with this build well. The only AP item i get in this build is an iceborn gauntlet. And that gives some CCDR and AP. In season 4 i will start taking all your advice that is right here ( please do not delete your comments) and put them into the build. The reason i need your comments is because i can't think of everything myself and you guys have really great idea's that i would like to put into my guide. Thanks for the support bros!

Thanks for the feedback Ortega, i've been thinking about doing that to be honest. I think i'll wait though, season 4 is coming really soon. It might be a pain to change with the new masteries :D.
And Oddjog44, the reason i max Q first is for the poke in lane and if you accidently hit a creep thats low you will get it. It is all based on our opinions overall correct? Please don't rate this because it isn't how you like to build Gangplank. Rate this if this build is good for its PURPOSE. I made this build for what it is supposed to do. And to recap, I don't find GP's Remove Scurvy viable without AP and CDR (40%). Thanks for the info.

Your W at max rank only heals 360 health

Only, he says. It's only the third strongest straight heal in the game.

To answer your question, leveling Q does not decrease cooldown time, the damage only goes up by 25....so the benefit of leveling Q first doesnt appeal to me. If you build a Sheen first, this small damage increase is even more miniscule. Your Q will be doing enough damage at this early stage, with the benefit of Sheen. With ability power from Sheen and Summoner's wrath, at level 9 your W will be healing for almost 400, 1/3 of what would be your max health (1,224) at the time. To my knowledge, I think this is the largest self heal in the game at 18 sec CD and only 65 mana. With this benefit you can stay in lane longer and farm/poke...and by the time you start levling Q you will be cashing in the farm for your crit items. This is when Q takes off and GP can start dominating.

I approve I like the tankyier version than just super squishy. the only thing is when transferring to late game you should put maybe an alternate build or like which items would be good to switch out. otherwise this guide is nice and has good potential.

Thank you for your opinion, but honestly. Your W at max rank only heals 360 health, which honestly isn't very helpful, you would need to have some sort of AP item to scale off it, maybe a lich bane. The heal is only outrageous if your AP and yes it can save you from any ganks but only because of its CC heal. I take glacial shroud first for the armor but yes sheen is actually a very great item to build first instead. I might change that. Also HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT, his Q is the thing that MAKES him OP, how do you not max that first? Also the build order isn't rock solid and you can change it to your needs. But yes this is only our opinions.

Just wanted to offer my opinion...

Gangplank can carry a game late, his early and mid game can be taken advantage of. This is why I choose to max W first. The heal is outrageous and it can save you from any kind of gank. Obviously, I take a point in Q first to farm. Also, not sure why you build glacial shroud first. I like to build a sheen first as it makes farming easier and makes your heal even better when you max it first. The damage of Q is not a big deal to me, I do max it second however as I try to start making kills. Stattik shiv is good, because you can bank even more with avarice blade. Gotta have an infinity edge though. So overall, I think we have different ways to play GP but just wanted to offer mine.

Bam +Rep bro, thanks and i was thinking out armor pen marks but i think flat attack damage would scale well with his Q early game, also could you ask fashionablellama to make me a gangplank sig?
