1. i dont find getting armor as a waste, since everyone should have survivability to some extent, even carrys. Unless you play normal games against low level players/noobs, you basicly NEED survivability, cuz u cant do Dmg when you are dead....

2. No one is hard to counter if they build only focusing on dmg or health, item choices that are in synergy with your abilities, is what makes one hard to counter

1. Exactly!! that's why carrys are first to be targeted....
thats what for you need survivability, as i stated before your dmg is 0 if you are dead...
And no...
Mareds isn't "over kill" its an AMAZING item because it gives lot of useful stats and most importantly it doesn't loose it's value as game goes on.

2. Yes, i have played Ap irelia, it is quite good actually if you like to have fun in normal games, but it's weaknes lies in it's easy counterability, just simple MR build.

I know that dodge seals are incredible, but armor reduces ALL physical dmg, for example, parrleys and spearshots, which dodge doesn't effect, and now that hp masteries and runes are nerfed, I have started to use this mastery tree, simply because u just cant have everything and these are the things that fit my playstyle/laning phase the best.

1. You shouldn't be attacking people wasting gold on armor anyway, go for the squishy supporter/carry.
2. Irelia is already hard to counter. She ignores armor with her true damage. I always have a good laugh when Rammus taunts me and turns on his shield, after I toggled Hiten Style. Madred's is just overkill for a way too high price, IMO.



1. The funny thing about 'the end' is that both teams are going to rely on their carries a lot. It doesn't matter if your damage curves off a bit (damage output always curves off late game, percentage wise, by the way). As long as you kill the carry, you're fine.
2. There is a great way to carry with a burst-damage Irelia. It's an AP-based build with a Lich Bane, check out my Irelia guide if you want to know more, it's really fun.

Why don't you pick dodge seals and the nimbleness mastery? I've always found it incredibly effective in teamfights and ganking. You can just buy a Chainmail to make up for the lost armor, for just 700 gold.

Yes, I know that there are lot of better Burst Dmg guides for irelia, but here i have tried to make her as powerful as possible in all areas. My goal with that is to make her extreamly hard to counter, so my dmg wont just fall if people get Thornmail/Stack armor. The other reason that i don't focus on burst too much, is that in that type of build irelias dmg curves down to the end, whitch isn't a problem with this build ;).

And what comes to Q, I don't spam it too much, i use it to initiate and to finish people off, and W combined with madreds bloodrazors and high AS is surprisingly effective ^^.

And there are the optional items section, where there are CDR items as optional items, if you like Burst Dmg better.

I didn't downrate you since I haven't played your build specifically and I don't want to troll rate you; however, I have tried a similar build and the major problems are:
#1) no burst since Q is going to have a very long CD till end game and you don't really take E at all till end game.
#2) you might want to consider more crit oriented if you like to auto. Current build might be hard against someone like a trynd, jax, etc where they are dealing hardcore sustained damage over time.

If it fits your playstyle i say more power to you. I highly suggest you check out DEWO's build and play it exactly as he specifies. It is pretty amazing to spam Q while you wait for your E to come back up. If you do the math, W is not as helpful as it seems...
