DISCLAIMER: Since it's only an early BETA, my thoughs could be proven wrong in the next changes. However, for now this are my toughs to the Summoner's Rift changes

You're seeing this? Good, because you better get used to it.

Summoner's Rift is changing, like everything else in this game. Sincerely, I though that the change was coming sooner or later, and when I saw the announcement, I though that it would be something great. But I was a little dissapointed when I saw the changes: the map was too dark, the monsters were meh and turrets seemed to bad IMO.

However, a man has to eat his pride sometimes, and after some games in PBE, my though about this changed. The improvement until now has been focused not only in updating the textures but also make it more playable for people like me that can't afford a good computer. Although sometimes it breaks, I, for the first time ever, got 60 fps on SR. that's an improvement. This change is starting good on the perfomance topic, and that's allways positive.

On the jungler camp topic, the spwans give another life to the jungle, in comparison with the instant appearence in the live Summoner's Rift. That's a good thing, I guess, it makes more epic, but the changes on the mosnters wasn't as good as I anticipated. Wright looks like a frog, Elder Lizard is a little strange creature, blue golem is cool in a way. Wolves are one step closer to became the Cerebro, golems are just stones when you're not close to them, and wraiths turned into birds (that's what they seem to me). Sincerely Riot, on this topic you can improve a little more. Especially in golems, wraiths and wright. they could be a little more epic, and a lot less like a sci-fi movie. Think of that.

Baron and dragon are a different topic. Baron was expected as it was showned in the cinematic made by Riot (you can see it here). Pretty epic big f monster that eats you if you're not aware. Dragon however, seemed like a rip off of many dragons in other games. Not that it is a bad thing, it's just to vulgar. They can change that, make it another color or another texture.
As for their attacks, Baron's attacks are better made(an full explanation can be found here starting at 13:05), and are triggered in a different way, so that's a change in the gameplay (no more troll baron agroo to your teamamte ) and that's allways welcome. Drake has a laser HOLY BALLS! That's all. Just a laser. Doesn't need anything else.

For the gameplay itself, the camera angle is different, but in a good way. THings now look straight, while on the live, after a while, trees become slightly turned (this effect is called the eyefish effect). Lanes look clearer and smaller, but it's the same. It doesn't have as many thing filling space that's all. Minions are now more clear to their type: Caster, Melee, Canon and Super Minions, and that's a good thing, altough that for me a minion is a minion. Fog of war is different but is very hard to tell how at this point. The most down thing in this change is the darkness.

Seriously, it's too damn dark. I know that it gives an more epic quest atmosphere, but come on. Turning on the light just a little bit will do better for gameplay. I know that they are thinking and reading the feedback, and that's good. I hope that they change this.

Now for an overall though:

I was an idiot in judging this book by his cover. I admit it. Playing gave me a nice feel of adventure, and that's good, but I like that more in other games like Legend of Zelda. The processing changes on your perfomance are a good point. Even a potato can play decently now, and they said that they're improving it even more. Monsters could be changed to something less sci-fi, and give a more an epic monster kind of way. The change is positive, no doubt, but it can be even more positive with some turn ups.

Now tell me, what do you think that is good and not? And do you like it or do you like the new one?

Ckyze Out.
