Our story begins.
Part One: The Encounter in Ionia
Ahri, after realizing that the true path to humanity does not lie in murder, sought to find shelter in the country of Ionia. There she met Sona, a beauty who was a master of the Etwahl. She was touring and exploring the world of Runeterra. Her symphony of joyous melodies immediately piqued Ahri's interest. She approached the maven after her performance.
"Hello, I am Ahri! I love your music. It brings peace and serenity to my soul. May I know where you learned to play that curious instrument?"
Yet, Sona couldn't answer her. She was born mute and unable to speak. Sona has let her music speak for her all her life. The maven started playing a sad melody to narrate to Ahri her origins. Ahri was surprised because it was as if the music was speaking to her. It was not just general feelings or emotions. She understood every detail of Sona's past.
"So you were abandoned by your parents at an early age? How tragic. Come here."
Ahri hugged Sona with such tightness that their large chests collided with each other like balloons squished together. But in all seriousness, Sona felt something she never did before, a warm gesture of affection from a newfound friend. Sona then started crying tears of joy because her loneliness started to fade away. Sona then played a song in order to ask Ahri where she came from.
"Oh well, as you can see, I am not fully human, or at least I wasn't before I became like this." Ahri has a slender figure, long legs, and a gorgeous face that made all the men around her fall in love and all the women jealous of her good looks. One thing made her stand out though were her white and silky nine tails. "I was actually born a fox in the Southern Ionian forest, and I felt in my heart I was not in the body I was meant to be in. I wanted to be human. I ran into the wake of a battle of some sort and the magical energy of a dying man flowed in me and I took form of what you see before you. But, I had to use my good looks and charm to seduce men and take their life essences in order to achieve the full transformation. As I grew accustomed to human society, I felt responsibility for my actions and learned the value of human life. That is why I am here. I want to redeem myself and I still want to become fully human."
Sona felt her inner struggles too, and decided to become her friend and hugged her back. "Thank you," Ahri replied. Sona then asked if Ahri would like to accompany her in her tour around Runeterra and without a second thought, she agreed. So the two friends head out of their next destination, Piltover.
