This is one of the most fun and competitive online games ever created. I think we can all agree on that seeing how far the LCS has come. It's a simple game that has a lot of complexity to it. So its easy to pick up, quick to learn, but it never gets old. Players love the social aspect of it, the cool characters, the natural competitiveness, and culture it has created over the years. The problem seems to be the people who play have created a hostile environment that can make it the game difficult to enjoy at times.
It is very similar to our society, everyone wants to point figures and blame everyone else for everything. Its a sad thing because the game is usually won by the team that uses the best teamwork. Yet, players still seem to find every possible way to bring down their teammates at the first sign of defeat. It can make the games grueling and sometimes unbearable. It has got to the point where it is almost the nature of the game. I even catch myself doing sometimes, I'll even type a hurtful comment then realize what im doing and delete it because i know it wont help the situation. we are all guilty of the toxic community.
There is a way to still have fun in the game though. I have found that this game is a one of the most social games out there. I have made some really good friends who i talk to frequently and they live across country.
My dream is to create my own community of people who love to play the game in a positive way. We can all come together and have fun. Skill doesn't matter if everyone is nice and gets along, its all about teamwork and coordination. If you create an environment build on growth and enjoyment the skill will naturally come.
So in order for us to create a better gaming environment we must do exactly that. Stop complaining about it and take action. From now on, when i play league I will be the most positive and helpful team player in the lobby no matter what. I will recruit like minded players and start my own gaming society. A society that is based on teamwork and synergy. People helping other people and always looking to improve. On my quest i will be only playing with these friends, we will have more fun than the other players and instead of toxically spreading negativity we will spread positivity. We will be know as the "healthy" players.
This new community will make their own tournaments for fun and move up through the ladders faster then ever before. Because we will focus on adding value to the game. "what you shall reap you shall sow". We will focus on constant growth and improvement. This is a movement, join me and watch the game grow to new heights.
