A few weeks ago I went on a 1 week vacation with my friends to Tokyo, Japan. It was a lot of fun! I'll probably make a few blog posts about it since there's a lot to say.

To start out I didn't sleep the night before I left for Japan since we had to get to the airport at 4am. My friend was nice enough to drive 3 of us there (the group was 4 in total). My flight went to DC first and one of my friends was on it, but then came the 14 hour flight from DC to Japan without any friends. It was rough, but the people I sat beside were actually very nice and showed me how to recline my chair and use the TV (I am a flying noob).


Finally we landed in Narita. You could see a lot of rice paddies from the plane, which was pretty sweet. The woman I was sitting with actually walked with me and helped me through customs and to find the place my friends were meeting at, which was really nice. That helped me a lot and I found my friends no problem.

So my sister gave me some praying mantis eggs for my birthday that you can order from a seller. They are a way to prevent pesky insects from bothering your garden without using chemicals. We don't really have a garden but praying mantises are my favorite bug and they're cool to see regardless!

I had this little plastic cup with the mantis egg in it. I looked up how they laid their eggs since I was curious how there was a bunch of eggs inside one mass. Apparently they lay their eggs in a "frothy mass" and when this mass solidifies it becomes a solid ball with a texture similar to a wasp nest.

I woke up one day about 2 weeks later and there they were. I did not expect them to be so big, and there were so many! It's been a while since I made a blog post, and I thought this would be a fun thing to share with you guys.

I'd been interested in aquariums and researching them for a while. One day I stopped by a local fish store just to check it out since I thought it'd be neat. The fish store was awesome! One thing that made me really happy is they had a few bettas (Siamese Fighting Fish) that they actually kept in community tanks with other fish instead of those ****py little cups like you usually see them in. My boyfriend was with me and we spotted a beautiful purple betta in one of the tanks (which by the way is my boyfriend's favorite color). We both fell in love with him and I decided to get a small tank.

So I mentioned this in a forum topic not long ago, but I feel like the best counter to Shen top is AP Janna (aside from just banning him). She's unkillable, and can punish him hard for leaving lane by pushing really fast. And if he's dumb enough to use his ult in sight of you, you can just knock him up / back and cancel it! When you pick AP Janna vs. Shen you say "screw you, you're NOT leaving this lane."

So I actually got a chance to test this. Saw Shen pick and said "I want to go top vs. Shen." I was actually last pick, and the Sona had originally picked Janna. Surprisingly enough he let me pick Sona to switch with him. Most people just think I'm trolling when I go AP Janna top. It worked as I imagined, I was actually winning lane against Shen, he was only beating me in a farm by a little but I got his tower down.

Went top vs. Ryze. First item Null-Magic Mantle and x2 Health Potion, grabbed First Blood and rushed Wits End. Build to counter your enemy and you will win! This is especially true of top lane.

Or if you're AGAINST a team with all the same damage, please build appropriately! See how I rocked face even though I rushed a Wits End? Note the Leona's Sunfire cape? Yes, that was a bad idea! If the game would've gone on longer the Leona would've paid for buying armor instead of MR!

Play against any competent team and they will be quick to counter your main damage source, and when it's all one type it's a no-brainer. So when you're playing competitively, balance out the damage! ^.^
