OK, this is a new style gear set up for me I noticed that most people try and pick a specialized gear set up for Yi... either they try and go strait melee combat or AP combat. this is what I am trying to do is mix the two. Let me know how it works for you and give me any pointer that you come up with.

With this I am able to Jungle really well and solo most lanes also I had around 300 AD & AP. so your General DMG should be high. Also this will allow you to heal really well end game so you can push longer. If you ever feel you need more mana regen then go ahead and get the blue buff from the monster at level 10 or so you can one shot him. At level 6 or 7 you should be able to solo all of the monsters except the Baron in a 5v5.

AD MASTER Yi

This is the best gear set I have been able to find for Yi There is only one really down side this gear set is there is no armor just AD also watch out for Thornmail it will kill you in about 2sec if you are at lvl 18. If that happens you might want to get something to fix that.

Masteries are Very strait forward you are a dps character so you want as much Offence as you can muster.

With this gear set up I normally start with Amplifying Tome and healing potions after that every things in order. I get the armor boots and the health first because early on Yi is a little to squishy. This will give you that just the right amount of cushion to survive.
