Braum

Braum Support Guide Season 6
'
'
'

Most Played Supports in Season 6

Most Played Supports in Season 5

This Guide is a very Unfinished and I may have forgotten to put a lot of stuff in, so comment if you have any Questions and I'll respond.

Braum has a very High amount of CC, Very high tankyness and insane Peeling ability.
Hes one of my favorite Supports in the game and by far one the strongest. If played well he can turn a losing fight in your favor.
His Cooldowns early are really high early game but after a bit of CDR he's Unstoppable.

+ Strong Laning Phase
+ Safe Laning Phase

Skill Sequence

(Passive) Concussive Blows

If you Auto-Attack or Winter's Bite someone it puts a Debuff on them that requires 3 more Auto-Attacks or Winter's Bite to Proc, dealing a little bit of damage and stunning them for 1.25-1.75 Seconds. This very powerful passive is your bread and butter. Try to proc as many stuns as possible in fights.

(Q) Winter's Bite

Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 Seconds
Magic Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 (+2.5% of Max Health)
This is a Skillshot that does good damage, Applies your Passive and Slows by 70% for 2 Seconds, This Slow decays over it's duration. It's spammable for harass in lane but you need to keep and eye on Mana as you may become 'oom'. This ability is your primary catch ability and way to apply your passive to enemies.

(W) Stand Behind Me

Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 Seconds
15/17.5/20/22.5/25 (+10/11.5/13/14.5/16% Bonus Armor)
Jump to an Ally and give some Tank Stats for 3 Seconds to both of you. Basically just a mobility move, use it when it is needed.

(E) Unbreakable

Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds
Damage Reduction: 30/32.5/35/37.5/40%
Duration: 3/3.25/3.5/3.75/4 Seconds
Put up your shield in the direction your mouse is located. From now on you block any projectiles, causing them to hit you instead of whoever they were shot at (Auto-Attacks cannot go through you). You also do not take damage from the first projectile blocked, and take reduced damage from all sources coming from the direction you have the shield facing.

(R) Glacial Fissure

Cooldown: 140/120/100 Seconds
Magic Damage: 150/250/350 (+60% AP)
Knock Up Duration: 1/1.25/1.5
Slow: 40/50/60%
AOE knock-up and slow. Knocks up people directly around you Similar to Alistar's Pulverize but also throws out a line that will knock up the first person hit (if no one else has been knocked up). The line continues to slow people in the area for 4 Seconds.

In nearly all lanes you would normally Max Q Winter's Bite then E Unbreakable then W Stand Behind Me. However you can put a few Random points into the other abilities but this is very situational and depends on your Current game.

Items

Starting Items:

Relic Shield + x3 Total Biscuit of Rejuvenation. Alternatively you can start with Relic Shield + Vision Ward + 1 Total Biscuit of Rejuvenation If you want more vision early.

Early Game:

When in Lane try save up to around 800-1200 Gold, this back can give you a Sightstone, Boots of Speed and a few Total Biscuit of Rejuvenation / Vision Ward's.

Early Game:

Having Vision Control can impact a game significantly by de-warding the enemy's wards so they have no Vision of the Map.

Leading to Mid Game:

Before Mid Game hits you should atleast have: Face of the Mountain, Sightstone / Ruby Sightstone, Oracle's Lens, Tier 2 Boots ( Ninja Tabi, Mercury's Treads, Ionian Boots of Lucidity or Boots of Mobility).

Mid Game:

Upgrading Sweeping Lens to Oracle's Lens at Level 9 allows you to clear more wards and have it's Cooldown reduced.

Mid Game:

Building this earlier in the game against a heavy Ability Power team will provide you and your team with bonus MR Stats helping them against AP Damage | +200 Health / +20 MR / +100 Base Health Regeneration Plus nearby Allies Gain +25 MR

Catalyst the Protector

Mid Game:

Gives you +200 Health and +300 Mana Plus a Passive that restores 150 Health and 200 Mana over 8 seconds. This helps you with Sustain through the game.

Mid Game:

Having Glacial Shroud built gives you +20 ARMR +250 Mana and a Passive of 10% CDR This is a good item to build because it builds into the Zeke's Harbinger and Frozen Heart Both Great items on Braum.

Mid Game to Late Game:

With the 5.22 Update ADC's are really strong and having Zeke's Harbinger Built will give you +50 AP, +30 ARMR, +10% CDR and +250 Mana but not only that it will give you and your ally Ability Power by +20% and Critical Strike Chance by +50% for 8 seconds.

Late Game:

Having Face of the Mountain allows you to Shield an ally for 10% of your Maximum Health for 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, the target explodes dealing 100% of their total Attack Damage plus 30% of their Ability Power as magic damage in an area (60 second cooldown).

Late Game:

Building Locket of the Iron Solari Gives you +400 Health, +20 MR and +10% CDR, It also gives your Team +20 MR and +100% Base Health Regen. The Active gives you and your Team a 50 (+10 Per Level) Shield.

Late Game:

Having Righteous Glory built gives you a Health and Mana and gives you and your Team an Engage.
*Note You no longer Restore 150 Health and 200 Mana upon leveling up when you upgrade from a Catalyst the Protector.

Late Game:

Building Frozen Heart Gives you +90 ARMR, +400 Mana and +20% CDR. The Item also Reduces Enemies Attack Speed by 15%.

Situational:

Dead Man's Plate is a very Situational Item, although it's very good on Braum as it makes his roaming capability even higher combined with Boots of Mobility, plus the Tank Stats that it offers: +50 ARMR and +600 Health. The Passive Dreadnought gives you Momentum stacks while moving.

Any of the Items are very good on Braum It just depends on the Composition of your Team and the Enemy Team, Building Smartly can be a major factory of winning a Game.

Marksmans / ADC's

Braum works well with most Marksmans as his Abilities offer great amounts of Peel and High Aggressive and Defensive capabilities. If matched with an Early Game ADC/Marksman you could easily snowball your lead. Once Braum starts to get a bit of Tank and CDR hes near enough impossible to shutdown. If Braum is behind however he won't be able to Peel very well due to his lack of items that would give him Tanky Defensive Stats.

I will be adding a lot more Marksmans / ADC's in the future.

space Vayne is a Mid to Late Game Champion, very vulnerable to poke in Laning Phase and generally needs to farm early so she can build Attack Speed and Damage. However if played well you can synergize well with Braum's Abilities and harass or even pick up some kills to snowball. With the combination of a Braum and Vayne lane, most fights will be all-in, so pick your fights carefully. Braum has some very high cooldowns level 1-9 so using his abilities at the right time is very skillful and tricky. Once Vayne has some points into her abilities like Tumble or Silver Bolts she can output a lot of damage and will most likely get focused in teamfights. Using Braum's Ultimate Glacial Fissure and his passive Concussive Blows YOU and Vayne can keep the Enemies slowed and stun locked for a very long time. Braum can also use his Shield Unbreakable to block a lot of incoming Damage. space

space Caitlyn scales really well from the start of the Early Game right into the Late Game, Shes a VERY aggressive Lane bully due to her Range and Ability set. Braum can Support Caitlyn by utilizing his Passive Concussive Blows with Caitlyn's Yordle Snap Trap so the Enemy team will be stunned for a very long time, resulting in burst Summoners or even a Kill. space

Runes

Tank: +72 HP / +21 ARMR / +12 MR

These Beef out Braums Armor Very Early making him almost Unkillable. +8.2 ARMR

9 of these will Provide Braum with +72 HP at the start of the game. Making his Q do more damage early as Braum's Q Scales with Health.

These Provide Resistances against AP Damage early in Laning Phase, since Braum is very prone to poke. +12 MR

3 Armor Quints make Braum more Resistant to Early Harass and Adds +12 ARMR making him very Tanky early.

This my Standard Rune Page I use for Braum, This Setup allows you to be a Early Game tank that's almost Unkillable.

You can switch out the 6 MR Runes for 6 CDR Runes that gives -5% CDR Level 1 as this Helps Braums Cooldowns early but makes Braum very vunerable to AP.

Situational:

These Rune pages are just for a situational Game.
vs AD: / +72 HP / +23 ARMR / -5% CDR

vs AP: / +86 HP / +14 MR / -5% CDR
