TFT Inkborn Fables Patch 14.7

Inkborn Fables has received its first update! Read on to learn about all the changes that have gone live yesterday in Teamfight Tactics.

In a Nutshell

One of the biggest system changes involves the inclusion of "Sentinels'' which function similarly to Wandering Traders and Wandering Vendors. In terms of Traits and Units, the Inkshadow items have all been buffed, as well as the bonus damage and damage reduction benefits from the Inkshadow traits. Kai'Sa has also received a small AD buff - so be sure to try the trait out now if you haven't already.

Fortune and Ghostly Traits have been slightly nerfed. Bard, who you may have been seeing in just about every game, now has less attack speed. In general, attack speed is being somewhat nerfed across the board - with Sivir's ultimate now having a shorter duration, and Kayle and Kayle's AS buff being hit as well.

Everything Must Go - seen on PBE - has been re-enabled, and several unit-centric Augments like Drop Blossom! and Midnight Siphon have been improved. The prismatic Augment, At What Cost, has been removed for this patch while Riot finds a way to make it more fair.

System Changes

Portals

Sentinels have been added! “The Wandering Trainers” and “Wandering Vendors” portals have now been replaced with "Trainer Sentinels" and "Vendor Sentinels" respectively. Sentinels are slightly stronger than dummies, and will move around, attack, and be able to cast an ability - Sentinel Smash - to deal magic damage to enemies.

Encounters

Certain Encounters will now be seen less often:

  • Bard Opening - players start at level three

  • Lillia Augments Shuffled Opening - Lillia moves Augments to random stages and rounds

  • Cho'Gath's Shop Slot - Cho'Gath permanently eats one of your five shop slots, but you gain item components

  • Rakan's Recombobulate - your board is upgraded but randomised

  • Sett's BIGGER Carousel - your Little Legend gets swole

Sett's controversial encounter will benefit from two more Encounter changes in Patch 14.7. Little Legends will now not get quite as swole as before, and, more importantly, the duration of Encounters where no interaction is necessary - such as Sett's, but also Sivir's and Tristanas - has been lowered. Other Encounters that are getting some changes are:

  • Aatrox's Encounter - Aatrox offers you a Component Anvil, Player Health, or Gold. The amount of gold has been decreased from 10 to 8.

  • Alune's Encounter - Alune permanently empowered one tier of champions. Two Cost buffs have been lowered, while Four Cost buffs have been buffed. Two Cost champions now gain 180 health (down from 200) and 18% attack speed (down from 20%). Four Costs now gain 120 health (up from 100) and 12% attack speed (up from 10%).

  • Irelia's Free Carousel - Irelia lets players move freely around the carousel. There is now a longer delay before the players are allowed to freely roam.

  • Tahm Kench's Encounter - Tahm Kench offers you a Component Anvil or Gold. The amount of gold has been decreased from 10 to 8.

  • Teemo's Win or Lose Prediction - Teemo asks you to predict your next match, and offers gold if you're correct. The reward for a win has been decreased from 14g to 10g.

  • Wukong's Radiant Items - Wukong offers you 6 temporary Radiant Items. Rascal's Glove has now been excluded from the list of potential items.

Loot

Prismatic Orbs were added to the game just before Inkborn Fables launched to ensure that everyone in the lobby would get loot of similar quality and level. However, Riot has determined that Prismatic Orbs are a bit more powerful than anticipated.

As such, Prismatic Orb Masterwork Upgrades can no longer drop at Stage 2. At Stage 2, Prismatic Orbs will contain 1 extra gold than before. At Stage 3 or 4, Prismatic Orbs will not include gold alongside Masterwork Upgrades.

Significant Changes

Traits

FORTUNE - Fortune 7 Piece Luck Bonus has been lowered from 30 to 25. The value of the 7 Fortune Orbs has been lowered a bit as well.

GHOSTLY - Ghostly damage per spectre has been decreased from 5/12/20/35% to 5/10/16/32%.

HEAVENLY - Wukong's Heavenly bonus Attack Speed has been decreased from 12% to 10%. However, the Heavenly Emblem's bonus Omnivamo has been increased to 6% from 3%.

INKSHADOW - Inkshadow's damage amplification and damage reduction has been increased at higher levels, from 5/10/10% to 5/10/20%. Additionally, every single Inkshadow Tattoo item has been buffed.

STORYWEAVER - Storyweaver Kayle has been nerfed in several regards. However, her Scroll of Force and Tome of Power have been buffed. This should encourage Storyweaver Players to rely less on attack speed and try out Kayle's other properties.
