TFT - 3 Trending Team Comps (Patch 14.7)

Jump into the new 14.7 patch ready with these three trending team comp ideas for Inkborn Fables!

This trending comp is all about the Reapers - specifically Yone and Kayn. To supplement these carries, Heavenly units serve to boost their stats and provide a nice frontline. Heavenly champions grant unique stat boosts to their teams, which are increased by their star level and by each Heavenly unit in play. You will eventually want to have 5 or all 6 Heavenly units fielded, and all 4 Reapers in this comp.

Early Game

All but Wukong in the Heavenly trait list are low, or relatively low, cost units. Be sure to pick them all up in the early game and slowly star them up. The higher-level your lower cost units, the more they can support themselves as the game goes on. Furthermore, this will improve the boost they offer to your Reapers. So, in the early game, it'd be great to have your first two Reapers - Kha'Zix and ideally Yone, but more likely Kindred, and three other Heavenly Units, such as Malphite, Neeko, and Qiyana.

Items-wise, both of your later carries will want to use basically the same build - a Bloodthister and Titan's Resolve, and then either a Hand of Justice, Guinsoo's Rageblade, or Quicksilver. As such, try to grab these components in the early game - Recurve Bows, B.F. Swords, and Sparring Gloves.

Level Eight

As the game ramps up, we'll want to get more Reapers to increase the Reaper trait bonus for our carries. The toughest unit to get will be Kayn, since he is a relatively rare 4-cost. I might prioritise him on the carousel if you see them just to bump us up to 4 Reaper faster. Kindred, on the other hand, should be easy to get in the early game.

We also want to finish rounding out our Heavenly units. The most useful stats Heavenly units get our carries are Crit Chance (Kha'Zix), Attack Damage (Qiyana) and Attack Speed (Wukong) so these are your priorities when it comes to who to field and who to star. Omnivamp (Heavenly Emblem) is also quite helpful, and is a great idea if you get an Augment offering the Emblem or a Spatula in the game.

One last thing to note is that it's very important to three-star Yone. He is a powerful carry to be sure, but can fall off in the late game as others start to bring out their 4 and 5 cost carries. Once you've hit level 7 or 8, it can be beneficial to reroll to 30 gold each round in an attempt to get as many Yones as possible. You’ll want to three-star one of your frontliners as well - Malphite or Neeko - since they are lower cost units.

Duelist is a very homogeneous composition, with little room for outside synergies. However, this is a trait that stands on its own two feet, with ample front and backline, and lots of damage. We will supplement our Duelists with some more frontline through Wukong, Udyr, and Diana.

Early Game

In the early game, we'll want to try to grab 4 Duelists and one extra unit for synergy. You can either grab an additional Heavenly unit to synergise with Qiyana (such as Kha'Zix for Crit Chance or Malphite for Armour/MR) or an Umbral unit, to grant all your units a shield at the start of combat, such as Yorick. If you opt for Umbral, make sure to arrange your units in the moonlit hexes to gain the benefit of the shield and Health execute for your Umbral units.

Level Eight

You'll want to grab all of the remaining Duelists as the game goes along - Volibear, Lee Sin, and Irelia. There are 7 Duelist units, so you'll want to replace one of your low-costs, either Yasuo or Darius, with Irelia once she is available.

Now to beef up our comp! You'll have room for two more units at least, and possibly three. You can easily get the Heavenly and Dragonlord synergies, and with some more finesse you can get Inkshadow. We've opted for the former two in this composition, taking Wukong and Diana respectively.

Your three-star priorities are Tristana and Volibear, your carries. If you can three-star anyone else, Qiyana is a good choice as she will give every other unit increased attack damage once you activate the Heavenly trait with Wukong.

Itemwise, Irelia and Tristana want similar items - Guinsoo's Rageblade, Infinity Edge and either Last Whisper or Giant Slayer. For Volibear, we want some sustain and damage - Bloodthirster, Titan's Resolve, and Warmog's Armour would be ideal choices.

This composition is all about making Kai'Sa shine. Storyweavers serve to provide a beefy frontline and more attack speed for the carry through Kayle’s supportive effect.

Early Game

This comp hinges on several 4-cost units, so it'll require a bit of adaptation from level 5 to 8. At levels 8, We want to get Kayle and select her Attack Speed supportive effect, and place her in the backline with Sivir and Bard. Bard will be your temporary Kai'Sa - as they are both physical damage-dealing trickshots. In the front line, grab a temporary Garen and Riven and Aatrox as your bruisers.

Since you'll sell Bard later and get all of his items back, feel free to give Kai'Sa's favourites to Bard as you get components - Infinity Edge, Spear of Shojin and either Giant Slayer or Last Whisper.

Level Eight

Slowly substitute out units you don't want - Garen for Galio, and Kai'Sa for Bard to begin with. This won't intefere with your synergies at all. Now to round out your comp, grab one more Bruiser to get to 4. Sylas is the best choice as the highest-cost unit. Finally, since we have two Inkshadows already, take Volibear to activate the Inkshadow buff and get a free Tattoo item.

Aside from Kai'Sa, we'll want to beef up two other units. Sylas can be a competent secondary carry with the right items. Star him up as much as you can, and give him Titan's Resolve, Bloodthirster, and Warmog's Armour. Galio and Volibear are both excellent tanks, and either one can take the trio of Warmog's Armour, Dragon's Claw and Bramble Vest to hold the line.

For our final unit, take Xayah/Rakan. You can actually use either one, since an extra Trickshot won't do any harm, but you can also activate the Altruist trait with Rakan and Riven. If you go for Xayah, you can place her next to Kayle with Kai'Sa, and try to get her some items to make her the secondary carry instead.
