    Number of Life Steal Quints

    Hello everyone,

I'm going to buy Greater Quintessence of Life Steal and I wanted to ask whether two max Life Steal Quints are enough for the following AD Carries: Ashe, Caitlyn, Vayne and Ezreal?

I always took 4% lifesteal because taking 3 lifesteal quints on certain ADCs with low base AD values has the peculiar problem of making caster minions survive with 1-2 health when whacking them once under tower.

This question has been asked many times now already. Two Greater Quintessence of Life Steal are good because it provides enough lifesteal to sustain yourself in lane well combined with a Doran's Blade, and it us also nice to have one Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage to help with last hitting under tower, and to provide that extra bit of damage in exchanges against your opponent.

Yes but I'm talking about the ratios. A lot of AD carry players run 6 mp5 glyphs and 3 mres glyphs for example.

They are not mixed for that reason... You are gaining the same marginal benefit from all runes (except penetration, which gets more effective as you stack it). Of course when you have 2 of the same already, the third will give half of what you have. But it's a false concept.

The reason to mix runes is to balance early/late (like flat and scaling mres) or to optimize damage output (mixing AS/AD/ARPEN)

In a lot of cases, quints are mixed as 2:1 and marks/glyphs are in a ratio 6:3 for the same reason; it's very common. However, in some cases the alternatives are simply not worth it.

"Also an efficiency issue. A second quint would increase your total amount of life steal by 100% while the third quint would only increase it by 50% so the third one is relatively less efficient."

With this reasoning you would only take max 2 of any rune... so no.

That makes the decision quite easier

Wow. I'm so new here and only played the game for about 2 weeks, the more I read the more I see I know nothing. This is very good info to have but can be very confusing, is there somewhere i can read how the Quints, Glyph, Marks, etc., all work? Also, I have lots of questions about item builds, warding, mastery, the more i read the more questions i have.
    Any help for this Noob?
    Thanks in advance.
