League of Legends (LoL) Question: Rune pages

    Rune pages

How many rune pages should you obtimally have for one champion/role? Often I feel that I probably could've done better if I say had Health instead of armor, or scaling instead of flat. So, what would you suggest?

Depends on the role. If you're trying to make rune pages for mid lane, then you'd probably need around at least 3-4 to cover all bases.

    Top lane might need 2,
ADC you need 1, and support you'd need 1 or 2.

Because I dislike scaling Runes except for a few exceptions I'd just run Rune Pages based on the two kinds of matchups, AD or AP. Therefore having two pages for AP Mages, two pages for top lane, one for AD Carry, one for support and a variable amount of pages for jungle. I rarely play jungle and thus I use one of my AD or AP Rune Pages that kinda fit to the champion. When jungling many people stick to scaling Runes or MS Quints - you might consider this.

3 for AD AP and TANK - usually go AD with some resist for adc, AP with regen for mid and full flat if tank.TOP lane usually hybrid but tank with different items can be an option.
