League of Legends Eye of the Herald
What is it?
The Eye of the Herald is a neutral buff dropped by the Rift Herald when it dies. It is available only on Summoner's Rift. Only members of the team that killed the Rift Herald can pick it up by walking on it. If nobody picks it up, it disappears after 20 seconds.
The Eye also replaces the trinket item in your trinket slot. You can break the Eye to summon the Rift Herald to aid your team. Enemies hear the Rift Herald's cry as an audio cue when it is summoned.
The duration of the buff is 4 minutes before disappearing, assuming that the holder has not yet summoned the Rift Herald.
What does the Eye of the Herald grant?

- The holder of this buff has Empowered Recall. This passive is lost when the Eye is crushed or the duration ends.
- Crushing the Eye of the Herald instigates a 1 second channel to summon an allied Rift Herald that sieges enemy structures. This channel cannot be interrupted by any means. Herald's Call goes on a 3-second cooldown if the holder of the Eye is in combat with non-minions. |
