After deciding to get out of the gym and go for an actual ride on the road I can conclude there will be more setback than first assumed. I have less strength climbing hills and need to develop more stamina. I have also noticed that I will need to work on keeping speed and finding the safest course to take as last year I broke my Radial Head in my left arm while biking. And that was only going 15 MPH. Down the long Hill on the course I had a speedometer rate me going at 27 MPH which is very dangerous for a newer biker.
As of now I have also come down with the flu and will need to re-structure my training regiment to be more on a daily basis instead of an all in trade. Sadly due to conditions with a faulty tire I have only ridden a total of 6 miles outside of the gym along the course shown. I have also invested into a good pair of bike shorts and will continue with the live training and will try to reach a total of 30 miles accumulative by the end of next week. This should be more productive than a controlled environment such as the gym.
