Tips and Tricks to Play Yorrick!

Playstyle: You want to play Yorrick with the mindset of splitpushing. Push, Push, Push!!


Build Path: Corrupting PotBlack CleaverBootsIceborn Gauntlet/Frozen Maulet if aheadRest armor if behind.


Cleaver is much more effective than Triforce on Yorrick: the reasoning being that his Q is never on a low enough cool down enough to worth buying the Triforce (You want high Cool Downs to constantly be activating the sheen)

Another reason to go with Black Cleaver is that the ghouls scale with the stats related to Black Cleaver! (Armor Penetration)

Frozen Mallet vs Iceborn is honestly preference but I prefer Iceborn because it gives CDR(important stat on Yorick and provides him with a nice chunk of mana!)
Skill Order: QEW (R whenever you can)

You’re mostly going to be using Q and E while trying to split push so it is best to max those out to get maximum damage and much lower cool downs.



Trading in Lane:

Always try to use the AAQ combo whenever you can
When you call your ghouls, use E on the enemy, AAQ then run away. If your opponents try to chase you, they will be hit by the ghouls and you will most likely win the trade.

Another combo is to activate ghouls, use E then use W to trap your opponents in with the ghouls! – Side note, W has a cast time so become more familiar with it so you know WHEN to use W!

Usually if you miss your E in lane, you’ve lost the trade because the ghouls will not focus thus, if you miss your E, just back off and trade when your CD’s are back up.





Passive: Bonus Damage and restores health. If he is below half health healing effect is doubled.


Q:

His Q is an auto attack reset thus when trading be sure to auto attack first, then use Q.
The health given back by Q is doubled when you are under half health! (84 health back for Q at level 18 and 168 health back if you are under half health!!- Remember this when you are having a duel with someone!!)
You can activate 2 graves by timing your Q correctly. Destroying a minion with your Q will NOT activate the passive thus it can allow you to get 2 graves up if you are quick enough!


W:

W: Yorrick and Allies can move through the wall thus if an enemy is trying to gank you, put the wall up, and you can freely move past the wall, escaping the gank!
Your W can setup many wombo combos!! ( it acts as a wall thus Vayne E, Poppy E, Gnar Ult) all work with Yorricks W!
Ive seen this once in a game, but if you time the W at the right time, you can stop gap closers !


E: Use your E to escape ganks as well, it slows the enemy!

When jungling, use E to apply some CC and then go in for the kill. If you manage to hit your E, it is much more easier to get the opponent in the W.


R: Fun Fact: You can TP on the Maiden!

Your maiden will not go away unless she dies, so use that to your advantage!
The amount of ghouls that the maiden brings in scales with level thus she brings in 2/3/4 ghouls, each respective with the level of the ult
With the Maiden, it is fairly easy to solo the dragon and the Rift Harold! When doing the Rift Harold, be sure to summon the Maiden behind the Rift Harold to get the extra bonus against it.
