Actually, I come here to look at guides and (generally) help them improve, but I put as much effort into my first comment as I felt you put into this guide. It's not that I use guides I find here, it's that I know plenty of new players come here to check guides and they'll look at the quick summary and MAYBE read the guide.

If you'd like some more thoughts on your guide though:

It reads like a rainbow (distracting).

Rylai's first? If anything Rylai's should be later in a build but I have always been against it. You have a root and an aoe slow. You have a third skill that doesn't target enemies. You have no CDR in your build so your ult would be benefiting from rylai's every 40 seconds. And yes, I realize you said don't follow your item order but again, I'm taking the stance of a newcomer who is just looking at the quick summary. If you want their attention to not follow the buy order then throw in Zhonya's Ring, Innervating Locket or Sage's Ring to make them actually read your guide. Just do the core items first and then throw one of those in there and list the rest of the items in the actual guide. Example: Philostone, boots of speed, rabadons, innervating locket.

You have no CDR. You can't always count on blue buff and should have more than 9% from masteries if you expect to utilize your ult (and rest of skillset) fully.

You're not taking Utility Mastery for increased buff duration. See how these last three points are connected? This is why in my first comment I said I put as much effort in it as you put into your build. this looks like you haven't thought of ANYTHING. If you have no CDR in your build and are using blue buff then take the extra 45 seconds. It'll be worth much more than expanded mind.

Runes, fortitude yellows? If you took one point in prismatic barrier you wouldn't need this small increase in health.

Most people suggest at least one point in W at level 4, I suggest only one point in Q at level 1 and maxing it last. My reasoning? By the time you max your 2nd skill there will be teamfights. Q being maxed offers 200 extra damage and 4 second less cooldown. W will be able to shield your allies and keep them alive longer. Save your right clicker and they'll be able to do much more than 200 extra damage. Personal preference here but you should at least put one point in at level 4 to help save you or teammates from ignite/mordekaiser/requim/shrooms etc. personal preference here but if you're not taking one point at level 4 at least then you're handicapping your team.

Your argument that you've had successful matches with this build is invalid. Anyone can have a successful match with any build. My jungle teemo build takes a fortitude potion + 6 pots, is extremely trollish and overall bad, but I have never lost a game with it (5 wins, 0 losses). I can also jungle soraka, again troll build, but i've still won games with it. And this next part is less a point, but some of us in the community feel that screenshots of match histories mean nothing unless you post your ranked elo with them. Normal games have a separate Elo and even though you don't see it, it is still relevant since it reflects the skill level of your opponents.

Anyway, I hope my comments are able to help you refine your build. Don't take any of this personally. GL

Haha! Alas some people know what they're talking about.

There's a reason why they label Lux as a support. I use it the offensive way, not defensive. I would rather max out my damage then to take a slither off to add it to my defense. Again, this is a preference. My main friends (who I play with ALL the time) LOVE it when I can last hit with an Ult or finish off the kill. It's worth it to lose one teammate and kill two enemies. I can do this successfully and soundly because of the offense. Why Rylai's first? Because of that slow. Just add that slow to each of her abilities, and call it a done deal. You don't need all these fancy CDR items and waste all that gold. She DOESN'T use that much mana if you play her passively. If you're going to run in there guns blazing expect some CDR or a Blue Buff. But I don't. I stand back, dish out damage, and finish the kills. My teammates don't need any small shield when the enemy is Dead. And Your argument about getting lucky is Invalid. Just because you Assume that I am getting lucky without CDR and such, you're wrong. I've played approximately 200 games in the past few months with Lux, and I'm Positive I can play her fine without CDR. By the time I kill them, respawn, get items, and go back; I'm ready to fire away again. Of course this will either 1) Fail miserably and you'll be called a Noob, or 2) You'll get random friend requests from the enemies you just slaughtered. Again, this whole site includes GUIDES, not INSTRUCTIONS, so if this doesn't work for you, Click back and try again. I have a ton of history, and I can back up these words, because I know that this has worked for me Hundreds of times :D Thanks for the constructive criticism though!! It's really good to see someone who puts as much thought into this game as me ^_^

It can't be that bad. I must feel bad for you if you copy people's guides. It's called a GUIDE, not instructions. My match history shows how "horrendous" the skill order is. Just saying.
