You know what **** it, I can't play Mordekaiser vs. decent people anymore.

They are thinking about removing his health costs, which would make it very possible to "cheese it" with a deathcap>Lich Bane rush.

No one rushed deathcap, they all got revolver first, which you still can do.

Also, without health costs, he will be much less reliant upon spell vamp, and will be able to play a more aggressive caster role in middle because of his shield, low cooldowns, and pretty good range against all non-mages.
That's a relief, but vs. other mages it is next to suicide.
"No one rushed deathcap, they all got revolver first, which you still can do." - Actually they used to rush deathcap, but Riot nerfed it. As for Hextech Revolver, yeah, I still have that item :P

Yeah, the patch hit me hard. I'm not entirely sure how to deal with it, but eventually I may recover somewhat a decent build. All I know is that you cannot cheese with a classic Rabadon's Deathcap + Lich Bane rush anymore. You have to slowly build up your AP with your defenses, that's why I recommend items such as Haunting Guise.

Thank you for this build. I'm and noob and was having trouble after the patch playing Morde. Started with this guide and did great my first 3 games. Hopefully I will only do better after studying it a bit more. I tried other builds and this seems like the best one for my play style.

I don't play Morde like a melee champ anymore. It might be better to play as a spell caster that can still get up in someones face as long as your shield is up.

Certainly a fun build... and he hits like a monster with that much AP... a little squishy for my tastes though... I don't believe AP helps increase shield size and strength so you're a little vulnerable but definitely fun... if I feel like we are facerolling sometime I will definitely pick it up.
If you're not facerolling you're doing it wrong, then again I would recommend other builds.

Yeah, bro. Just yeah.

However, I'd like to tell a few thing; if I were to finish off with those items you have listed, and I have done it with similar items a long time ago, I'd rather make Gunblade my 5th item, right before Lich Bane, and I would make a spot for Rylai's Crystal Scepter. A melee champ with below 1800 health does not seem good enough to me.

Either ways, build is clearly your way of showing people a way and what matters is how well you explain your way of playing this champ. Good job.

Mordekaiser carry is a bad idea, you'd know if you play ranked.
It's the last item ffs, I'm talking "wtf turrets gone!?" mode.
