- Sometimes it is better for you to get Bladesurge first, especially if you know you have an opponent that will try to zone you out. Not getting Bladesurge first may cause you to lose out on a few early CS or make you vulnerable to unnecessary harass. Although, you might be okay since you have the Regrowth Pendant and the heal from Hiten Style, I find it safer and easier to make sure you don't miss a CS by getting Bladesurge at level 1.
[...]
Thats the reason why you get Hiten Style first, too prevent losing too much life already with lvl1.
In addition is the duration of lvl1 around 2 Creepwaves or not even with Awareness .
[...]
- Normally my priority of leveling skills goes Transcendent Blades> Hiten Style> Bladesurge> Equilibrium Strike

The truedamage isn't really nice as long as you dont have attackspeed and the Bladesurge deals lot more damage early game, means you can last hit creeps easier and will get more lasthit on champs as well, what's in fact more important for Irelia than anything else.
[...]
Like you mentioned earlier it is very important for Irelia to farm and be able to stay in lane. For this reason, Hiten Style should be prioritized over Bladesurge. In addition to the sustainability given by the heals, the true damage is very strong when exchanging damage with your opponent. Bladesurge is not really needed in lane unless you are last hitting a faraway creep or chasing your enemy, but its not worth putting 5 points in early, especially before Hiten Style
[...]
I don't think this is absolutely true; it's much easier to lvl Bladesurge to be able to last hit, reason: with Bladesurge you can even harass your enemy - what's needed in solo lane if you dont want overfarmed enemy!
[...]
- You mentioned that your combo in lane is -> Equilibrium Strike-> Hiten Style-> Auto attacks
I would not start a combo with Bladesurge if you are in range to hit them with an Equilibrium Strike. Ideally you want to save your Bladesurge for chasing them or for jumping to a minion closer to a safer spot if you are losing the fight.

My bad Hiten Style-> Bladesurge-> Equilibrium Strike->Auto attacks-> Hiten Style-> Bladesurge
To get true damage already on Bladesurge. If you can't start with Bladesurge and afterwards slow/stun and in the end to finish him with Bladesurge again, the enemy must be really stupid or squishy as hell...
[...]
- You should mention that Irelia is very good at last hitting at a tower without having to use Transcendent Blades. Personally, I think it is only good to use Transcendent Blades when you need to heal, you're fighting and trying to finish off an enemy, or if you want to push your lane to blue pill. The reason why it is not good to use your Transcendent Blades to clear a wave at a tower if you don't have to is that if you get ganked and dove on it would've been better if you had the spell up.
[...]
Don't get me wrong, but if you get ganked and die without ulti I got simple thing you can do: don't push the lane...
Just clearing a creepwave protects you from pusher like Heimerdinger, Mordekaiser or pushing Morgana. It's not to push the lane, just to not lose tower after 5mins.
[...]
- The stun from Equilibrium Strike is based on having a lower health percentage not simply having lower health.
- In 1v1 fights you can use Equilibrium Strike to simply slow an enemy if you know you can kill them without needing to stun them. This is especially true for squishy carries and will prevent them from getting away.
[...]
This guide is simply not written for noobs who play first time, if they can't read their own skills, it's not my problem that they lose again and again... as well the usage of skill, some brain is assumed!
[...]
- In team fights you don't want to blow your Transcendent Blades too soon especially if you are full health. You want to use it when you are being targeted and need to heal to continue fighting. It is also great for finishing off an opponent because it has far range.
[...]
Honestly if you're in a teamfight as melee and NOT GETTING ANY DAMAGE - you do something wrong...
About the finishing off you might be right, even if I think Bladesurge is enough for that, as well because you got more movement speed than most enemies will.
[...]
- For runes you may want to consider putting hp regen. quints as an option.
[...]
So many ppl play like this and forget to harass the enemy champion - the worst.
It's no problem to go greater quintessence of vigor, but good luck by harassing Nasus with a lot of armor...
The guide looks good so far. There are a few things you might want to consider mentioning:

- Overall the rest of the guide was good and I agree with what you have said. I think the possible items are all viable. The only thing is that you mention so many options that beginner players may not know where to start.
I hope this helped. I don't feel comfortable giving an upvote or downvote for this guide yet. I will look forward to any future changes!
The sequence of your chapters makes your guide a little confusing to read.
For example the "Mastery" section at the end, after "items"- it's like adding information of a basic set up you have when you start your matches after having your final build.
