Awesome build but wouldn't you prefer ionic sparke Instead Wit's end?
Any ways +1.
See previous page comments, past the halfway mark.
The very bottom was my first time.
Edit: I'd also like to remark that, when I play with my friend, we always lane together. So I always go with the Rolling Thunder first -- depending on what we're facing, if they try to engage in brush we get a first kill 50/50, especially with my exhaust and his ignite.
Any ways +1.
im new to mobafire , so pardon if i do something wrong.
i tried your build and loved it.
absolutely dominates even as a tank
i wanted to know what you think about ionic spark now that its available in classic. do you think its good on volibear??
Since no one else has answered your question, I'll take a stab at it.
I have been messing around with the Ionic Spark a LOT since they added it to classic. As a single target DPS item it is not as good as Wit's End, but for dealing damage to multiple targets it is awesome (don't get me started on how good it is when you hit Stormbringer and see this item go off on top of it). It has all the right stats for Volibear: health, attack speed, and an AoE. It is a phenomenal farming item, and combines amazingly well with Sunfire Aegis for minion farming and teamfight damage (swapping Atma's Impaler for the cape).
I have personally stopped getting lifesteal on Volibear, his phsyical attacks are too small (even with Atma's) to make the health he returns to himself substantial the way it is for Warwick or an AD carry, and the health regen from Warmog's Armor (while not amazing) is enough to keep him in the lane once he has enough health to stop bothering with Health Potions. You might consider skipping Wriggle's Lantern and building the Ionic Spark early on to see how you like it.
Volibear needs to be in the thick of things, Ionic Spark + Sunfire Aegis + Stormbringer = a devastating team fighter. It is a fun build to try, and I recommend you do it to mix things up. BUT, in a lot of matches your goal is to burn down the enemy team 1 at a time by focus firing them, so if that is your strategy, stick to the single target DPS items.
