If you're using diana's and fizz's kit to jump into 5 people, you're playing them wrong. You pick your moments to engage. Fizz can Q in and E out, and Diana can Q+R in, and then either turn on shield to absorb some damage, or R to another target to reposition. You are not supposed to dive headfirst into teamfights with any of those champions, unless your team is super ahead, or already smashing a teamfight decidedly.

I know Mpen shy wouldn't be great, I was just humoring the author. It would be way more viable than this build in my opinion o.0

Also, magic pen Mundo works cuz cleavers deal % damage, so he doesn't need AP items. I doubt magic pen Shyvana would be nearly that effective.

This IS troll. AP shyvana mid doesn't work for the reasons stated above, and several more:

1. She can't farm against any typical mid laners. You'll do nothing but sit back and farm with your E, or you will die. You will be completely starved for gold and your lane opponent can freefarm off of you.

2. Her q and w skills are completely useless for offense. Q is not even a factor, and w just makes you faster. These skills will do no damage, meaning you basically have 2 spells. A ****py nuke with a long cooldown, and an ultimate that does moderate damage at the expense of THROWING YOURSELF INTO THE ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM. What other typical ap champ has a spell that puts them 100% in harms way?

Just because a champ has ap ratios, that doesn't mean they can be played as a mage. If you want, you can play around with magic pen shyvana. Throw a haunting guise in your early build and get some magic pen in your runes, but your effectiveness will suffer. I love magic pen mundo. sorc shoes, haunting guise = big cleavers

You're probably better off building tank. And playing Shyvana mid is just pushing it.

Yes. Pointless. She only has two AP ratios which are 0.6 and 0.7 respectively, not enough to justify building her AP. Flame Breath doesn't have a short cooldown and is difficult to land in the lane. Hence I don't see her winning her lane as a mid laner, especially against champions who also have big ults, such as Annie.
