Really thought out and well executed. Not only was it educational but some of the "Scenario's" made laugh because they do tend to happen quite a bit.

Anyway, really good guide. Loved it.

The other night I played a game where my ADC talked the entire game, under-leveling himself and missing pings, and overall he was under-reactive. Eventually this cost us the game and by the end of it everyone was chatting. Of course I told him that he talks too much, to which I got ENDLESSLY spammed. I ended up reporting him for just that...

Next Queue:
Of course, riot would pair me of the person I reported... Fortunately I was first pick so I strategically picked evelynn and banned all of their beloved champions I had to hear about in the previous game. When they realized they had to ask me where I was going I said, "I'm going to spend this game roaming". The guy INSTANTLY exited queue, saving me a dodge penalty.

Will it be bad if someone instalocks a support champ

Well, the fact that support overal is less popular than other roles, may make it seem like not so bad. Though there will still be situations where for example a duo-queue bot lane is in your team. If you instalock, then that means that that duo-queue bot will be not so happy with you. Always communicate before you press that lock button, whether it is for mid of support :P

I sometimes instalock for some reasons :

Sometimes I just instalock because I want to play with a certain champion and I dont want to play with another one : for example I start a game just to play with Kassadin so I select Kassadin and I instalock and I don't care ^^" we're supposed to have fun and play with the champions WE WANT right ?

Of course the others start to flame instantly so I tell them that I want to play with Kassadin and I don't care in what lane so they can choose the lane they want and let me play in the last lane available :) YES COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY (btw I hate instalockers that don't say anything and just lock in and start talking in the middle of the game : I report them for "refusing to communicate with the team" and I explain the situatin to the tribunal)

I also play with a Pentium 4 PC (I dont have enough money to buy a new one for the moment :p) so it's really hard to call for a lane first...really really hard ,they ofter call for all lanes even before I join the chat :p
You have to know that instalockers can have their reasons :) try to understand why they do that and don't start flame instantly and deal with it :) and it's not really a big deal in "normal blind pick" where people try new lanes (learning to support or jungle) ,new champions, new "weird" builds (like ap ezreal,ap ashe,ap tryndamere) and the champions they want to play with :D

Want to avoid instalocking ? try normal DRAFT pick or go ranked ^^

Like this topic alot. Actually the trolls, rage quiter, insta lockers and well.. a**h****s, are the guys that ruin the game for me. I don't mind, if I have a guy in the team that isn't playing his best match. But it ruins the game if one guy decides to start hating or troling and losing the game for 4 others on purpose.

Hey Meiyjhe,
good guide - nicely written, its definitely worth a +1 for you. Good solutions on how to REact when facing an instalocker. What i don't agree on, is how much you discourage actual instalocking. Normal - blind pick - games are, from my point of view, games which I play to either practice a champ I'm not confident enough to go ranked with, or just to have fun every once in a while lets say with friends or when I dont feel concentrated enough for a ranked.
If I just wanna have fun, I wait a little to see what the others pick and then try to find a champ and position that match my team.
If I am playing the normal for the only reason to practice a certain champ, what use would I have from switching to something else? And, sorry, the best way to enforce getting your champ in the position you want, is just locking it. I dont care if i doublelane mid or top, I just want to get used to the champ.

Normals are not competitive play, if there is one thing I dont understand in the LoL community it's people raging, flaming, fighting, threatening, insulting, harassing, reporting in normal games. If someone wants to go AD Fiddle, why not? I dont have to win to have fun.

For Solution 1: The InstaLocker does better than you.
Solution 1 Extra Solution: Choose a champion that can cover two roles so if they dont give up lane you can go to the other lane.
For example: Tristana, Kog'Maw, Cho'Gath, Zed, Diana, etc.

Ok my first time here on Mobafire so just run with me....

I have the ultimate solution that works every time
for people who instalock, they will want to leave immediately.

Just type in chat:

AP darius mid.

:) Have fun.

An honest, funny and mature guide for dealing with instalockers and learn something while you do this. I really loved it, ty ^^
