Firstly, you can lose minion aggro by going into a bush (provided that it's not warded). That's why I'd think taking masteries against champion exchanges is more important.
About Awareness , I have yet to see a single pro support player take it. It's just that the 1.25-5% is practically negligible unless you have a solo lane or jungle (very useful in jungling) because of the shared xp.
And to be honest, that armor count is practically negligible in early game, since people usually end up having to camp the bushes most of the time. By getting the gold instead, you can buy an earlier emblem of valor which will make up for your armor runes.
And in skillset, it's far more important to max 1 skill as soon as possible...
Overall great guide and I'm going to try it out now :P
Awareness is a huge must have on any support. It grants you more experience earned which will help you keep up in levels if your AD is losing his or her lane. If you are winning then this helps your support to get ahead of the enemy support. Also with tough skin early game the minions will do A LOT of damage to you when you attack an enemy champ. I agree with unyielding and block for being a good mastery pick up. I agree with the scout being not useful i forgot it only gives extra vision for few seconds, and I will change my masteries for that so ty.
However, minion damage reduction is pretty crucial early game. Remember you are Thresh, and at level 2 as you go into the AD you will fly into them to do full burst damage. You will be behind the enemy minion lane so All this time minions will be doing damage to you faster then an AD is firing his basic attacks at you.
If you don't believe me try to stand in front of a wave of minions at level 2 and stand behind them and see how long you can tank their damage before you are half health. With 66 armor at the beginning the enemy ad and minion isn't doing that much damage to you. The minions' DPS is a lot faster then the ad is firing his auto at you at very early stages since there are about 5 of them attacking you at all times.
As for my masteries and runes, what I mean by them building into his passive is that early game without lots of armor he is very squishy since he doesn't scale his armor as he levels. Without this pure armor runes and heal/armor masteries, Thresh will only be semi tanky. With my build you will be above 100 armor when you hit level 6. That is a huge amount of armor for the enemy AD to go through. You can bully the enemy ad out of the lane that early in the game.
With the .50 gold per ten it's just an added bonus to your GP/10 count. Runes and masteries are very important in early game. This is basic number stats early game. So you would want to take any little bit of advantage against your enemy very early early game if you can.
For my ability choice is that each skills set for Thresh is very important. If you only max his say Q early game then you neglect his lantern shield potential and the cool down time, and max his E or W first then your Q will be on a very very long cool down which will limit the amount of harassment you can do in your lane. if you do't put points in his E then you won't be able to have 20-35% slow for your team early to mid game.
But to be honest, I appreciate your input and I will change some of my masteries. However I still will keep my runes where they are. Every little advantage at level one is very important since it's a stat game basiclly at level 1 when you come down to it.
First of all, I really appreciate all inputs. However, I an really confused about your reasons....First of all you say my runes are okish? What does that even mean. What isn't it ok? Secondly, You say my skill sequence is hopelessly random, ok that's nice but why?
Quint of Armor is really subpar to Avarice Quints considering your seals and marks are already armor and you should take 4 avarice seals or none at all, keeping them all armor. The 1 GP10 or 0.5gp10 is not really worth that extra 2.8-6 armor loss until later into a game, but a 1gp10 will generate the gold necessary to cover the 6 armor loss quicker than the 0.5gp10.
As for skill sequence, you should have something maxed by level 9 in order to maximise utility. By putting points in alternatively, you limit the utility of every single skill until level 18. This should really be basic knowledge. In this case, you should max W first, E second and Q last (generally speaking).
I understand that making a guide look nice and pretty is good, but I believe more in content than how the content is being presented. you inputs are also hopelessly random also since it not only give me an alternative build, but it also doesn't provide another way of thinking or how it could be better. Also about you Avarice Seals, please do explain your suggestion more.
The comments are not hopelessly random, since there is a reason behind them. Presentation and content are both important to a guide, it is not a priority of one over another, it should be a full package. Making it easier to read is also a part of your job as a guide writer. If you fail either content or presentation, then you have failed overall as a guide-writer.
To be honest, I feel like you just only say the things that you don't like or see in the guide. If you have actually PLAYED Thresh Support before you would know most of the things that I am talking about. Moreover, my runes and masteries, are purely for AGGRESSIVE SUPPORT. If you have read my guide.....you would realized how my runes and masteries would build into his Passive.
Firstly, I'm a support main and have been for almost a year. Secondly, no, your runes and masteries don't go into his passive. They are completely irrelevant to it, since he can harvest souls and gain armor that way. Unless you are talking about his Q, of which they are also irrelevant to. Thirdly, aggressive supports don't take almost pure-armor runes. Thresh can harvest souls well enough. You don't need points in Tough Skin , you can forego Awareness and Scout , you have no Biscuiteer , Explorer and tbh, points are better put into Unyielding or Block to exchange better with enemy laners, not to counter enemy minions.
I don't mind constructive criticisms, but if you are just going to complain about something you don't like then please save that for yourself. If you want to complain about something, write something more productive like how I can improve my runes or masteries, give detailed examples. Does it work with AGGRESSIVE SUPPORT.
Thanks for you input, but next time if you are going to write something or reply to this message, I really suggest you write something more academic than unproductive criticisms that won't let not only me think about my whole guide, but also to the people that are reading this guide.
Actually, I think you'll find that I can say whatever the hell I want. And there ain't nothing you can do about it. I can complain as much as I want and however I want. And if you had done your research properly, you'd be able to judge for yourself whether what I said was productive or not. For example, if I say 'your runes are okay-ish', maybe you should go research what people actually use for runes, since you clearly haven't. I assume you have at least that much brain capacity to realise if someone says 'this is bad', to go actually check why it's bad. Glad you asked, though.

The guide itself is mostly okay, but give it a couple run over to make it neater. At points, random things just stick out (mostly pictures and icons) and spacing isn't usually taken into account.
