Pretty easy lane, don't let him stack his ult and be careful when you're in lane with low hp.
Alistar
You easily beat him till lvl 6, then it's just waiting to bait out his ult, and then kill. Rinse and repeat. Try to make his knockback knock you into bushes so you can easily jump onto him again.
Darius
This guy sucks, just play safe and wait for late game. Roam if you can and be careful because he can dive you.
Diana
Dodge her q=win lane. Be careful for her lvl 6 burst and make sure it's always solo. With exhaust you can easily kill her 1v1.
Dr. Mundo
You should win this matchup. Instead of exhaust take ignite. Get him low enough that he will pop ult the next time you jump on him. Go into bush, jump ignite + empowered e, aa, q aa tiamat cancel and he should be dead.
Ekko
He's annoying to deal with. Kill him pre-6 and be careful of his w, stay in the bushes so that if he does try to w you, you can easily jump onto a minion or him. His ult makes him nearly unkillable, but if he's low enough and you have 5 stacks, you can empowered e to stop him from ulting and then kill him.
Fiora
You can win lvl 1 and lvl 2 if you play it right, it's a difficult matchup that will require jungle to gank you often enough.
Gangplank
Easy lane, don't use empowered e if he has w up. Make sure to force him out of lane whenever you can so he can't become a late game beast.
Aatrox
Easy out burst, he relies on sustain. He cannot sustain your burst.
Gnar
Kill him before lvl 6 and you'll be fine, don't fight his mega gnar unless you're extremely ahead or your jungler is coming for a gank.
Hecarim
You can kill him lvl 2 if you're lucky. Don't even bother fighting him after 6, he'll just beat you to a pulp. Take tp in this lane and try to snowball your bot and mid.
Heimerdinger
Just counter push, after a brutalizer you can pretty much oneshot his towers for free gold. Be careful with diving him.
Irelia
You can freely poke with w, be careful not to stand to close to low hp minions so she can't get a free q reset. You can 1v1 her with your exhaust. Only fight her when her w is down.
Jarvan IV
He can snowball the lane, catch you with his ultimate and if he's very good, stop you in midair with his e q combo. try to snowball other lanes, you should still be able to 1v1 him with exhaust.
Jax
If he kills you, your lane is pretty much over. he outscales you and is one of the few champs that can 1v1 you late game. the only time you can engage on him is if he has just used his e. Careful, his e blocks q damage.
Garen
DEMACIA. You can kill him early, just wait for his q to be down, ask for jungler help and you won't lose lane.
Jayce
Does anyone even play jayce anymore? He can poke you and knock you back with his e in hammer form. Just farm and try to all in if he wastes his e in ranged form.
Kayle
She can stop you from oneshotting people, her laning phase is tough and if she's good she can zone you from a lot of cs. She's not playing often but is still pretty scary.
Kennen
I've only played this matchup once. Dodge his q's and be careful for his ult, it does a bunch of damage and will nearly always proc his passive stun. You can still 1v1 him with exhaust. Be careful with your e, he can dodge them if he has his e up.
Kha'Zix
You can squash him. try not to fight him in a place where he can easily jump away, unless you can follow him. With exhaust you can 1v1 him even if you are isolated.
Lee Sin
Be careful of his early game. if he misses his q lvl 1 or 2 you can engage. wait for jungler ganks and farm. he can see you in your ultimate if he has his e or q on you, so be careful of that.
Lissandra
You have a small window to jump on her whenever she uses her q and misses. Your empowered e can stop her from jumping away. Just be careful not to push. Her cc let's junglers easily gank her.
Lulu
Easy lane, just be careful for her late game utility. She can knock you out of the air with her ultimate, and if she's full ap your target will probably not die.
Malphite
Rock salad. You can kill him lvl 1-3, after that wait for a jungler gank. His e slows your attack speed, so try to make him waste that before trading with him. As soon as he gets armor it's nearly impossible to kill him. You could rush brutalizer into last whisper to effectively trade with him.
Maokai
Maokai is weak early, take advantage of it. His passive counters you because of the amount of spells you use, in an extended trade you should still win, but be aware of ganks. Maokai's cc makes you an easy target for junglers.
Mordekaiser
You can't poke him easily. You can try to kill him lvl 2 with an exhaust bait, but after that you're gunna need your jungler to camp you hard.
Nasus
Just let him push. you can kill him lvl 2 easily. He outscales you but that doesn't matter, in teamfights you won't be focusing him, you'll be focusing the backline. Try to deny him cs in lane.
Nidalee
If she's ap nida top, she's already lost.
Stay in the bushes and watch her waste mana as she constantly tries to q you. You can oneshot her mid game, late game and trade with her easily early. Your exhaust allows you to stop her from executing someone with her q. If she's building tank, be a bit more careful. You should still be able to 1v1 her.
Olaf
Don't empowered e him when he ults, simple as that. Dodge his axes and wait for him to waste w on minions. His e does true damage, so exhaust him after he's used it.
Pantheon
You can kill him lvl 1, and maybe lvl 2 if you're lucky. See if he takes ignite or TP. Just don't let him push you too far into tower.
Renekton
Try to kill him lvl 1-2. After that just farm and don't bother trying to trade, he'll win anyway.
Riven
Your late game is stronger, her mid game is stronger. If she wastes her w and/or her e go in. This is a skill matchup where I think rengar has the slight advantage. Your exhaust stops her all in potential burst.
Rumble
DON'T STAND IN THE FIRE. Kill him lvl 2, if you don't think you can, farm, take tp and help other lanes.
Ryze
Ryze op. farm and gank other lanes.
Shen
you can kill him lvl 2, farm and you outscale him. Try to zone him from cs. take tp and try to follow him around the map. If you can't just push the tower and try to get your team ahead that way.
Shyvana
Don't trade when you're marked and be careful of her burst when she's full ad.
Singed
farm and kill. ask your jungler to come if he proxies. You can kill him easily in lane, after lvl 6 it becomes a bit tricky, but with exhaust and empowered e you can deal damage while taking little. Don't attack him under tower if he has his fling up.
Sion
Nobody really plays sion anymore :/ You can kill him early but he outscales you 1v1. His ult can destroy your backline, but you won't have to worry about him peeling for his team mates when he can't see you.
Swain
Dodge his snare and take ignite, you should be able to kill him 1v1 if you lure him into the bushes.
Teemo
Stupid shrooms slow you in your ult and can show where you are. His blind counters your q's but you can still kill him if he wastes it. Ask for early jungle ganks then snowball other lanes.
Trundle
He wants to farm, you want to farm. Be careful of his ult and bite, they debuff you and buff him.
Tryndamere
You can kill him 4 times before 6, but he can still comeback. Don't let him free farm and be careful of his splitpush potential. I once beat a trynd 6/0 in lane and he still won because he would run into tower with his ult, do damage, die and repeat. I had to help my team because they had lost lane, splitpush trynda sucks.
Vladimir
Don't empowered e him, take exhaust or ignite, either one works. Trade with him once he uses his q, his pool is on a 24 second cd lvl 1, so get your jungler to gank you before it becomes less.
Volibear
Op bite, op passive. Take ignite or tp, his w does true damage and he can chase you easily.
Yasuo
He can block your e, but that's about it. You should be able to 1v1 yas at any point in the game.
Zac
If you're ever vs a zac top, don't worry. You do so much damage early that he will be forced to pop passive/die/go back very often. He gets tanky but you don't have to worry about that in team fights.
Yorick
You can kill him early, but he outsustains you. His ult makes him hard to 1v1 so ask for ganks frequently.
Hello everyone, my name is vonloaniest. I play on EUW and I am currently plat 1. I love playing Rengar top, he has extreme snowball potential, and even if he doesn't get kills his late game scaling is incredible. Rengar is one of those champions that can solo carry a game when ahead, he can oneshot most squishy targets. These squishies are usually the carries. If you can delete their most fed person, you can win teamfights with ease.

Runes
Check runes at the top. These are standard issue runes. They are used because your laning phase without them is pretty weak. If you want late game focused runes I would recommend the scaling CDR for 10% cdr, armor pen reds, ad quints, armor yellows and 3 scaling mr blues.

Ranked Play
Rengar is great in ranked, he can carry games easily. He is a difficult champion, but when mastered he is amazing. Pick him only against someone you counter, or someone you are sure you can win against. Your job in ranked is not necessarily to snowball yourself, but to snowball your team. Rengar's ult is great to use in ganks, he can snare or do massive damage. In lower elos you may want to take the kills yourself. I would do this if you cannot trust your team to do well. An assist is better than nothing and the pressure that you give to your bot lane from a gank is massive. Not getting a kill is not terrible if you can take an objective. You must be careful when roaming, if your lane is pushing towards your tower you should try to push it out before going bot or mid, this will slow the enemy push and give you more time to come back to lane.
