Very interesting guide, ahri support is a nice idea, I love AP/off meta supps and I enjoyed reading the matchup section.
Just a few questions :
- Why Ludens? Everfrost gives you a slow to set up your charm, in fact a lot of mid Ahris go GLP. You can ult in, GLP then charm, it's almost a free engage. I don't like glacial ahri any more than you do, but GLP Ahri is awesome.
- Why Ingenious Hunter?
- How does Ahri counter Leona? Leona can ignore literally everything Ahri does, she's got huge MR from her W, she loves to go tenacity runes/merc treads, and can be a big wall between you and her ADC all game to block charms. Only thing Ahri can do is ult out of her engage, which wastes a huge cooldown just to not die.

because Everfrost does not provide enough dmg for you to delete someone that is not in full health. As I said, the point of Ahri sup is to make the enemy jungle ours. I will likely always hit charm first because I have their vision. There is hardly a time I wish to have a Everfrost because I just need to have enough dmg to disable a carry or even delete him/her. If I likely only have 2 complete items, I always need to make sure I get dmg first.
Zongyas has 120s cd, Ingenious Hunter makes it as low as 72s, which mean whenever you ulted with Zongyas mid game you will be able to Zongyas again when the next fight starts. The cd on trinket is even more important because it ensures your oracles can be used very frequently and your position is unknown to the enemy team.
Leona is only scary with a Trist on lv2, I'd say. She is pretty much a free poke target for you and if your jungle ganks for you, you often crash their lane. If Leona engages on Ahri, it is a waste of spells if we are not behind and Ahri can always escape and kite her. If she engages on my ADC, I always crash their ADC because Ahri does a lot more dmg than a Leo. Leo's engagement to me is a lot weaker than a Naut. It has always been so and I hardly lose to any team with a Leo sup.

Hello Shado0w1and,
I've previously read a guide on Ahri support by coincidence so I was curious what yours would look like.
You're displaying the key information about the playstyle on Ahri support which is really important. But I noticed that you forgot the reasoning on Braum in the threat section and you're probably still working on the explanations on the synergy part as well. :)
I think it would still be important to explain your rune and item choices. Like why aren't you going Summon Aery for example or why do you still go with the full AP build? Things like that are important for people to understand, especially when they're new to the whole idea.
But I think you're already on a good track and I'm sure you'll still be working on this guide to improve it.

Cheers, Wicked Cherry. :)

Electrocute provides much more dmg when needed to delete carries. The whole point of picking Ahri support is not to go glacial and be annoying to your opponents but to delete their carries using your vision advantage. For Braum, I just added the reasons. Just as most standard melee supports, they seem to be countered hard by Ahri but in team fights, they are more useful. If an Ahri support game ends up with full builds against standard support, it is likely a loss for you. That is why I set the core build of 3 complete items as the preview build for Ahri support. So, in general, I put Ahri as a mid-game assassin and to provide the top-class vision for the team. All runes were set to max out the damage in one shot.
And that is why Ahri support can be chosen only in certain team comp.

I see that makes a lot of sense now.
I kinda thought that an Ahri support would most likely fall off drastically in late game because you most likely won't get as many kills (and CS) and therefore as much gold as you'd get in mid lane.
Thank you for your detailed comment. :)
