Hey, what are your thoughts on scaling cdr quints? Most of the time you're gonna be building full AP and rarely morello.

What do you recommended for an armor pen or straight armor item if the opposing team is super tanky? Or is it better to just try and lay damage and let your team get through armor?

Good guide

Personally not a fan of this build, though it can work. For me it delays my damage for too long and forces me into a passive farm lane. Imo even a morello or RoA start is a bit better. Just my opinion though.

As you can see the Karthus meta is changing since the Lethality nerfs, Morello can also be a great start or RoA. I've included these builds on the guide, so everyone should just play what they find most comfortable to them! Have fun :)

I am finding Ryalai's to still be very good with him post nerf. Though it may be cause I am a new Karthus player i have trouble landing the q's. There's also A LOT of Jumpy champions these days!

Rylai is still viable as long as you run CDR per level glyphs, to maximize the slow potential. However I don't really see it that its used a lot in higher elo (master+), I still find it useful. Just run those CDR glyphs otherwise you can't do much with it!

I am not running any cooldown and have found it to be fine to be honest with you. Q has barely any cooldown, W already slows, e is a toggle. I'm just an unranked scrub tbh with you so i doubt that will be a concern with me. I have just found that apart from my ult i dont really need any cooldown reduction.

Is that bad?

Q does have 1 second cooldown, and reducing it to almost half a second is very noticeable in late game. It also affects your ulti, at level 3 you can have around 90 seconds CD instead of 120 which can make a lot of difference in teamfights. It is essential because it's easier to chain multiple slows with your Q's thus hitting them more frequently. The point is chaining them into a perma slow in the mid game, and without CDR it makes Rylai pretty useless.

The ideal is going for full CDR per level glyphs, and one CDR per level quint. The AP ratio on early abilities like Q/E doesn't really scale well with karthus, that's why it's worth investing it in CDR. The AP comes later from items for your ulti. So basically around 35% CDR late game is pretty good.
