Hey man, so I really like Rakan's kit, and have been looking for a viable off-meta role for him. I play virtually all off-meta champions, the most popular AP ezreal Mobafire guide is mine, my other pocket picks are TF Jung, AP Nunu, Aatrox JG, Mordekaiser AD etc... so far this guide looks pretty darn plausible... But I have a thought...

So, Rakan has one of the HIGHEST base AD's in the game 62 (I thought Mordekaiser was busted with 61). So what about a Steraks? Since in this build this champ is utilizing Trinity Force.. which is very important because the Sheen Proc is an amplification of BASE AD - and Steraks gives a BASE AD increase. What this build could give you is quite a burst every 1.5 seconds whilst also having decent DPS and Tankiness to make the dives you need to - think about it, run in ult, take a lot of dmg, steraks shielding kicks in and spell vamp/lifesteal powers us up, hopefully right on time for Q to heal us back up. Give it a shot one game and let me know what you think, rest of core build looks plausible and decent - just requires him not to be an initiator (too squishy).

Honestly, I love this build. High damage, high sustain and a lot of cc.I have tried it with Grasp of The Undying as my keystone and I have to say that the sustain you get from it alongside your q is ridiculous. The one thing this build lacks is tankiness, you aren't that tanky and therefor can easily be one shotted once you engage even unless you e out instantly. It is however such a fun build like the slapping the ctrl+2 emote spam alongside your stupidly ridiculous damage, its not a lot, but ow boy is it good, and that passive shield when you get some ap, my god it is bigger than my future. All in all what I am trying to say amazing build buddy i ****ing love it.
P.S. I have found that this build can be really effective against tanks in the top lane.

I tried this build as well, was so skeptical at first considering Rakan is a support for Xayah. But this build is extremely fun to play. And I owned quite a bit on top with Rakan. I might also fool around with different items but I think I will stick with most of the stuff on this build since it's extremely well rounded already :)

Thx, means a lot ;)
Maybe it would be a good idea to make an ***able of some Rakan Top action, so people dont get discouraged to fast :D If i get enough materials before Riot change something that destroys the guide... So if someone has some good plays feel free to contact me hehe :P

I also tried going Rakan Attack Speed with this guide, and I've gotta say it worked wonders, I even did better than most of my team and even some toplaners. But I had my girlfriend being Xayah and was happy to try the build with me. So maybe do this with someone who wouldn't mind but even if they don't like it still go for it. I love this build, I feel more useful as a support or a toplaner with build. Because not only do I get a stronger passive, but also all my skills hit harder making the ult a lot more useful when rounding the enemies up with a W follow up and Q. I can't give the fun of going this build justice when you get paired up with a confident friend or someone who knows you game style. You found a good build in this for Top and Support

I just tried this build and it works wonders xD If you do it well, you can still do 1 V 2, but instead of Liandry's Torment, I would recommend Wit's End. Why? Well, despite Liandry's giving you health, AP, Magic Pen. + Burn effect, it only applies properly to your abilities. With Wit's End, you apply 40 Magic Damage with each basic attack (Considering the amount of Attack Speed you should have if you build Wit's End Last, it would be 2 basic attacks per second). It does give you some Magic resist (not much) but despite that, you'd do more damage. If you feel boots stop you from doing more damage, might as well have both Liandry's and Wit's End. Apply all those effects xD

Thx for trying out the build :D and for the comment of course, i have updated it as an alternate build. But i won't sell the boots, because his kits benefits a lot of movement speed ;)
