Hmm.. It looks okay, but you miss out on the really best akali stuff here. You just happen to be lucky that I am in here and leaving this one single comment i've ever made, just cause I wanted to. I am a bit mispleased of the ways you guys understand Akali. No offence, almost everybody get her wrong. Some here is some of my basic tips. First: You should REALLY get Sheen. I explain under why. When you got more AP than AD, get lichbane. This is the basic items for akali that makes her SICK! And you also have the wrong way of playing her when you explained the combat tactics. The reason you use the Q spell is because it is a MARK. Mark means that you are going to strike it, right? So each time you have marked somebody, you have to strike them. And by strike i mean like melee strike, not the Crescent Slash (E) that you are using. The reason why you should use mark and melee attack:
When a target is marked: your melee attacks hit the same as your Q spell, PLUS melee damage PLUS sheen/lichbane (which makes it even STRONGER!). When I got Sheen only (my first item, since i got runes to boost both her passive), my 1 single melee attack hits about this:
80 (normal melee damage) + 80 (sheen damage) + 115 (Mark of the Assassin lvl 3 with some ap from runes) = 275.
You may think: "Well that's not too much.." my answer to that is: "275 damage with 1 melee attack that you can use every 5 seconds in level 5 is much." Especially since you are just 1 lvl away from your "killing skill": Shadow Dance (the charge). When you get this ability, you should be able to kill a player very easily if you do as me. Do not copy this text in any way. This is the original © text by Some NO0B, and I advice you to use it well. You are now a wiser Akali-player - Enjoy! ;)

Well i agree with you on the Move speed, but when you attack turrets you deal the higher value between all your AD or 80% of your AP. So mid/late game, AP would be better for taking out turrets.

I have tried basically everything man, the heal is much more helpful. And the bonus damage of magic in the passive is scaled off of your attack damage for percentage. PLUS when you hit 20 stack movement speed is much better than the 20 stack mejai cooldown reduction. Also, attack damage kills turrets quicker.

Great guide, but why would you build a Sword of the Occult when you're going AP? A Soul stealer would be MUCH more effective.
