AD Vlad is so Off Meta, no one will expect you to build it because its so stupid it can actually work decently. Although there are many other builds more well suited for Vlad, AD Vlad provides players with a challenge.

To be honest, AD Vlad can be played in basically any lane. However top lane is the most optimal because you won't be completely destroyed by the enemy. The objective is to put yourself as far ahead as you can and farming against a tank that you can kite makes it easier.

When you start the game you can choose between Doran's Sword OR Shield, Starting with the shield is definitely a better choice because when you start building AD against a tank who has been building Magic resist he'll have a harder time against you. However, that said, it is important to get Nashor's tooth first or at least F Codex to throw them off.

Grasp on Vlad? That's already annoying enough for the enemy, adding Runic, Vampirism and Fury make it even harder to damage you. Overall Grasp will make it harder to kill you even though you don't have much Health.

Runaan's will be your main farming tool, farming is essential on AD Vlad because getting a full build before the enemies is important. Before Runaan's however, you will need to use your E in order to farm better.

Pros:

Good Farming Potential
Offset's and will most likely counter enemy's build
Fun to play.

Cons:

Can fall behind without enough Gold
If you get stunned, you are basically dead
Abilities other than your Q and E are basically reduced to nothing.

Don't play this in ranked in anything over bronze. It will not work as you get to higher ELO's. This build is purely for those that want a different experience with Vlad.
