This build is designed to give you a good amount of mana for spamming your spells, lots of AD to aid you in slaying enemies, and cooldown reduction to help keep your ghouls alive.
My masteries are 13/0/17. I focus on ability power, cooldown reduction, ignite, and magic and armor pen in offense and mana, mana and health regen, and grabbing flash to help me escape and engage in my lanes, in utility. Another way to play would be to focus AS and then grabbing your extra point in tier 4 AD for offense.
You want to buy your Tear of the Goddess first so you can stack up on mana to help you later in the game. Then you want to build mercury treads followed by building Trinity force starting with sheen, phage, and then zeal. This will make your omen of war a very deadly attack due to the increased damage along with the damage from sheen. After Trinity Force you want to build spirit visage to make healing from your omen of famine stronger and also reduce your cooldowns to promote spamming. By then if you have around 600 bonus mana built up you should build up to manamune then following up with a bloodthirster. If you are still low on the bonus mana you mind as well build bloodthirster and then a manamune. If your still in the match at this point go ahead and build a Sword of the Occult for the extra attack damage and the reduced cooldown from full stacks.
The skill sequence can be manipulated to suit your match but should always start off with omen famine for farming minions and harassing until you build up omen of pestilence. If your solo in a lane it is a good idea to max omen of famine and then omen of war so you have a means of escaping if your flash is on a cooldown. Omen of pestilence can be added to when necessary so it slows enemies down more to promote chases for your allies.
I chose these spells because ignite works very well for when you are close to a kill but the enemy is hugging their turret and you don't want to risk getting ganked by their ally or getting killed by the turret. Flash is a great spell to teleport out of combat for an escape or into combat to land an omen of pestilence or and omen of war so you can continue to strike your enemy and come away with the kill.
This build is a very basic build and always seems to work for me if you adapt it to your situation. I know i did not include any runes and that is because mine are very random and only rank 1 and 2 runes. You can boost this build by adding AD runes Armor Pen and Armor or AS.
